High level performance management
-Provide the CEO & the Director General (DG) with periodical corporate Operations, Commercial, Financial target and Actual performance.
-Provide executive performance management reports to Saudia’s management board of directors.
- Support decision making and navigation of CEO & DG e.g. airline strategy, target setting and control for all routine functions and strategic projects and investment decisions (economical calculations), profitability analysis and monitoring .
-Establish and maintain a uniform system of measurement (CPS) and reporting including development of performance metrics (KPIs) for the core business process and recommend appropriate corrective actions
-Monitor corporate key performance indicators (KPIs) by Establishing BSC, Operational Dashboard, and strategy maps for strategic and operational business process
-Coordinate with IT department to ensure the operations and commercial business rules are fully embedded in the BI-CPS system for all operations, commercial and support divisions
Line management duties
Responsible for safeguarding Saudia’s revenue integrity during ticketing and sales process
- Maximize return on investment for Saudia’s seats inventory by secure professional and disciplinary management of reservation, ticketing and sales functions.
-Liaise with other divisions for the collection of reservation and ticketing fees and penalties and service charges.
-Synchronize DCS and passenger service system information for pre and post flights departure data and take corrective actions to ensure booking and travel data are in line with the reservation records.
-Reduce GDS sales distribution cost by monitoring TA and sales channels productivity .
-Improve staff efficiency and productivity by ensuring accurate information feeds in the inventory management system and eliminate work redundancy.
-Manage Pricing and Inventory Control functions
-Negotiate special prorate agreement (SPA) with other airlines and negotiate space and fares with special tours and travel agencies and monitor their performance against the expected targets.
-Coordinate with stations and regional general managers for setting the commercial sales targets
-Conducting market intelligence & route analysis studies and take corrective actions for improving underperformance critical flights
-Managing special market focus group to take corrective actions as per market requirements using all marketing tools and strategies.
-Monitor advance flight loads and control the inventory by subclass in responds to market conditions.
-Monitor and adjusts market fares to be in line with the change in the competitive markets
-Work with sales and marketing departments for developing the commercial plan
-Perform all fleet planning functions with special focus on scheduling, fleet deployment planning, and network planning, market research and visibility study
-Responsible for producing the corporate flight schedules, and coordinate with operations and commercial departments within Saudia in addition to coordinates with international agencies and airport for obtaining flying permission and obtaining slots for the schedule flights.
- Responsible for producing the corporate plan, and conducting market research, develop market operation requirements plan in term of capacity frequency of flights for each market .
-liaise with all Saudia’s divisions in order to produce Saudia’s 5 years strategic corporate plan
-managing the department that produce the annual operating plan which includes level of operation, revenue and traffic forecast.
-Produce seasonal traffic analysis report and identify market trend by type of services ( Schedule & Non Schedule )
-Conduct traffic and revenue forecasting analysis
-Responsible for producing operating plan
-Responsible for aircraft performance evaluation and study future fleet requirements
Master of Business Administration from the faculty of Economics & Administration The subject of the thesis was the application of forecasting methodology in the airlines industry in general and Saudia in specific. The research intended to cross-examine the current forecasting system in Saudia Airlines and examine its effectiveness in the decision making process . The scope of the research covers the following perspectives:- Review of the different type of forecasting methodologies Identification for the most popular and common forecasting methodologies used by the airlines Factors that are considered critical for best matching forecasting techniques with the type of traffic distribution The impact of passengers forecasting result on the planning of the airlines schedules and fleet acquisitions .
