• Ensures that medical logistics settings in JD Edwards’s software are correct and appropriate for use.
• Plans the use of resources and sets and updates the medical logistics plan for the country; participates in Health Division meetings and takes part in planning changes to current and new health programs. This covers the NCD programs, primary health care programs- PHCC, Forensic programs, VET programs, and Protection programs- HiD.

• Keeps track of products’ shelf life and submits lists of soon-to-expire batches to the Health Division. Manage the disposal of the expired medical items. The full annual inventory successfully done resulting in very minor discrepancies in the country medical WH with an operating stock of CHF 2.4 M; the amount variance was equal to CHF 22.38.
• Assists with customs-clearance procedures for internationally controlled drugs; schedules distribution to meet requested delivery dates and ensures deliveries are made on time.
• Ensures that effective, efficient and flexible services are provided to meet the needs of programs and health-care facilities receiving assistance; acts as a focal point for medical logistics matters and maintains close contact with health staff; ensures that updated order-status information is provided and coaches health staff in the use of logistics information systems, IMPERST system and Tableau (business intelligence tool); monitors performance metrics on medical logistics dashboards, takes corrective action and shares results with the health team.

Revised and raised of all requests for the procurement of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies and ensured their compliance with the donor list and national standards. Ensured item types and quantities are relevant for the requesting facility through comparison with monthly consumption.
•Performed quality control checks on all items received at the IRC warehouse and prepared a report to be shared with the program and warehouse team. Conducted warehouse spot checks and ensured the warehouse is up to standard for holding pharmaceuticals and medical items.
•Monitored stocks of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies at the IRC warehouse and ensured that stocks are replenished as soon as the identified critical level for a new order is reached. Ensured an accurate follow up of drug consumption tracking in supported facilities and created a monthly report with this information. More than 45 facilities were remotely managed and supported.
•Proposed ways to update existing pharmacy data tools and procedures to be implemented at supported facilities. Provided technical support for the implementation and management of the pharmacy activities at supported facilities. Trained facility pharmacy staff on how to tally daily consumption.
•Tracked the transportation of the medical commodities and ensured their receipt within the expected time, accurate quantities and best conditions. Supported the health team in tracking and supervision of mental health medications at the IRC warehouse and facility level.
•Supported IRC partners and supported facilities to comply with national and international standards (including drug stock management guidelines, essential drug list, and standard equipment).

• Ensured pharmaceutical services are implemented according to internationally accepted standards and/or relevant Ministry of Health locally and regionally. Managed medical commodities quality according to WHO and local authorities.
• Provided oversight for the initial order of drugs and medical/surgical supplies and any GIK orders. Supported and followed up with logistics/ops team to deliver high standard kits and shipments of medical commodities cross border to south Syria.
• Established/utilized standardized data collection tools and trained staff on accurate data collection in order to track distribution and consumption. Collected and analyzed consumption data to adjust project objectives, planned additional specialized responses (rational drug use, FEFO protocols, etc.). • Planned, prepared and launched the new internationally-compliant 2000 m2 medical warehouse. Supervise the operations of 2 large warehouses and one transient warehouse next to the border.
• Started and finalized the procurement process of one of our partners’ projects and ensured the delivery of the items on time.

• Represented quality part in drug procurement committee. Checked the specifications of the requested medical items and equipment according to the standards before raising PR’S, during PO’s process and on reception.

• Prepared logistics requisitions, assisted procurement department in the procuring procedure for medical part of the hospital. Followed up with the suppliers and vendors for the hospital medical supplies needs. Performed market assessment for 12 vendors.
