Running & Managing 43 POS in Kuwait, 7 in UAE, in addition to 7 corners concessions in AL SHAYA Debenhams Dept. Stores.
Managing 2 retail divisions, Ready To Wear & Footwear.
Managing a team of 4 Area, 2 Warehouse, 4 Buying Managers, beside the head of Merchandising and their teams in addition to looking after the marketing activities.
Preparing and approving the Buying, sales, Gross Margin & inventory budgets and guide the teams to achieve it accordingly.
Accountabilities
•Taking the brand ownership and provide vision, goals and strategies to match up to brand and company targets, and Translate the brand`s strategies into brand plans in order to achieve the targeted positioning, Developments goals.
•Prepare the Annual Budgets, forecasts, and merchandise recourses for upcoming years, for UAE, QATAR, OMAN & JORDAN markets.
•Analyze Gross Margins on monthly bases and re-act according to the set targets by identifying critical issues and address them up for action plans.
•Explore new opportunities within the business for meeting the business plans.
•Make and approve the team`s end-to-end calendar for the merchandising cycle (pre-buying, buying and after-buying).
•Ensure the right Assortments planning Vs OTB is completed during the Pre-buying session for each POS by category for each type of store.
•Updates job knowledge by attending trade and fashion fairs and shows; maintaining personal networks with key suppliers.
Running the daily operations for WOOLWORTHS, SPRINGFEILD, MEXX & XX BY MEXX.
•Sales : supervise the floor / Departments layout and the stock positioning, monitor stock availability, train and promote high standards of customer service, give feed back to the Brand / General Managers about the best sellers/slow sellers and the missing opportunities, weekly / monthly reports such as SWOT reports(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats).
•Visual merchandising: ensuring highest possible standards of visual impact, implementing brands layout guidelines correctly.
•Stock loss control: ensuring achievement of the stores defined stock loss target .accurately carrying out all loss prevention activities and stock loss prevention plans.
•People / management: giving feedback on performance and developments need, and providing the staff with the departmental / product knowledge / customer service trainings, beside the daily, weekly floor plans.
•Administration: approving the related documents (daily, weekly and monthly reports, salary deductions, leave plans, price overrides …. Etc), supervise the completions of the floor and minor administrative procedures according to the company rules. Achievements:
•Boost the sales with +30 % and reduce the inventory with -20% by getting involved with the buying process.
Started as salesperson in Debenhams and graduated as assistant sales manager.
Running the day-to-day operations in sales floor with a team of 20 sales staff while insuring to achieve the Daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly targets.
