Lead, implement, maintain, and improve continually the Health and Safety Management System in accordance with
OHSAS standards.
* Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in organizations and operations.
* Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks raise safety awareness
and improve safe work practices.
* Develop, implement, and maintain employee training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous
condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

* Conduct Plant audits to review records, permits, field conditions, safe work practices, and assess employee knowledge

* Provide operational oversight, direction, and support of health and safety aspects.

* Provide feedback for how we can improve as an organization - ways we can simplify and become more
efficient/effective
* Making decisions about health and safety that may affect work activities or other people.

* Maintain and improve the performance of department personnel. This includes organizational changes to meet
changing needs, hiring of new personnel, and administering a personnel performance improvement program that
includes goal setting, performance evaluations, and counseling to achieve high standards of performance.
* Development and control of department budget and identify opportunities for cost improvements.
Safety Talent Development:
* Mentor and identify development needs for Plant Safety employees
* Participate in interviewing and hiring safety professionals
Build Relationships:
* Collaborate and communicate frequently with Plant Management teams.
* Collaborate with safety professionals across the organization
Manage Incidents:
* Accountable for incident management system data
* Ensure plant are set up for effective treatment management
Investigation Management:
* Ensure proper root cause is identified and shared
* Follow any corporate, group or district protocols for incidents.
