• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approve purchase orders and organize & confirm delivery of goods/services.
• Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Oversee & manage the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Analyze data and prepare control strategies for unfavourable events.
• Plan and implement strategic initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and other performance metrics.
• Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies as and when required.
• Oversee team members’ performance to ensure that they are meeting productivity goals.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure products are shipped on time and within the budget.
• Ensure all materials meet safety and quality standards.
• Review inventory records to track the flow of materials through the supply chain process.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing information and place orders.
• Partner with concerned departments to ensure orders are filled correctly and on time.
• Report any issues with quality control and shipping procedures to the Management.
