OPERATION ENGINEER

Normal Operation and Work Relationship
1. Responsible for safe and efficient operation of DCS to achieve Safety, Environment, Production, Quality and Cost objectives of organization.
2. Responsible for ensuring compliance of the operating guidelines and standing orders.
3. Responsible for informing his Shift Incharge/Shift Engineer for any deviation or routine / non-routine operational changes and to suggest changes to Shift Incharge regarding the improvement in plant efficiency and safety of plant.
4. Responsible for safe DCS operation during commissioning & start up activities, carrying out the plant normal activities diligently and writing Shift Log actively, and involved in various test runs at DCS.
5. Communication about safety, usual / unusual operation, defective plant condition & prevailing plant condition.
6. Responsible for safe and effective handling of plant emergencies and provides guidance to field engineers and assists the SIC in appropriate decision-making during emergencies.
7. Responsible for coordinating with, UTY and related run down departments, maintenance (Mechanical and I/E) supervisors and unit managers for routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
8. He is responsible for the Housekeeping and upkeep of CCR and its safety equipments.
9. Responsible for training and developing the Trainee Supervisors/ DCS Engineers assigned to him..
10. Adherence to labor law, rules & regulation as stipulated in Company policy.
11. Promptly respond to call outs to achieve & implement Department objectives.
12. Carry out all works related to smooth and safe operation of the assigned area and any other work assigned by Shift In charge on need basis.
13. Full support with shift group for team building and bridging communication gap.
14. Coordinates with process engineering & Lab In charge for Utility plant monitoring / troubleshooting, project Engineers managers for safe erection and commissioning of projects, and safety section for incident reporting, investigations, safety equipment supplies and repairs.
Safety & Environment
1. Responsible for the compliance of Safety, Environment and Quality policies, compliance with NEQS standards, skilled in PSRM standards, Cardinal Sins Policy and ensure their compliances.
2. Responsible of the housekeeping and upkeep of the DCS and associated equipments, daily monitoring of the health of Safety Equipments present in CCR
3. Responsible for safe and effective handling of plant emergencies in compliance with the role statement during Level-1 or Level-2 emergencies
4. Participates in D-level safety talks, Shift daily safety toolbox and UCG
5. Responsible for the healthy status of Safety Critical Devices and their defeats status on SCD Defeat Board.
6. Ensure 100% compliance Car seal Management and LOTOTO systems

Manage and support the head in planning and strategies and furnish them, Manage and provide training to the subordinates according to plant requirements, Daily & monthly key events recordings, Shut down planning, procedures, and follow up, Follow and implement the rules n regulations of fire, safety, & health environment, Provide the Operating parameters to all process units, Provide preventive measure n procedures to all centrifugal & reciprocating pumps of the plants, Gas testing, hot works & cold works as per requirements, Schedule samplings, Implementations of HSE, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001’S rules and regulations, "FIRE & SAFETY” practice, 4 days in a month by NRL safety department.
