Responsibilities
• Installation of rebar grounding, grounding grid installation, AC/DC lighting fixtures installation, RGS conduit, and cable tray installation
• 110 KV cable trench excavation, cable laying and cable testing
• Making BOQ for Substation and 110KV Cable material
• Preparing MIR and RFI for Inspection
• Worked as QC Engineer for Relay Coordination Implementation Project in SAFCO
• Inspection of panel relay(LV, MV, HV) installation, wiring, testing and commissioning
• Inspection of LV MCCB and LV ACB installation, wiring, testing and commissioning
• Inspection of current transformer in 115 kV substation installation, wiring, testing and commissioning
• Verification of final settings of HV, MV and LV relays
• Inspection of Power Cable(LV, MV, HV) installation, testing and commissioning
• Attend all necessary inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Perform a variety of inspection functions under supervision.
• Record and document any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Coordinate with the client representatives to ensure that inspections are carried out expediently.
• Generate client Requests for Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for Hold, Witness and Inspection points.
• Carry out inspections on Exception Items (EI) as documented in the internal system and sign off a closed when activity is complete.
• Continually carry out surveillance inspections on the project recording and documenting any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Review the calibration status of any test equipment being utilized on the project ensuring the equipment is within calibration prior to use.
• Provide support and advice to the construction personnel in relation to the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports, surveillance reports, etc.
Worked in SEC distribution department
• Maintenance of switchgear, transformer and busbar and witnessing the tests performed on these equipment
• Installation of Lighting, Distribution Boards for Lighting as per client requirements.
• Perform all electrical isolations for equipment to be out for maintenance as per the Permit to Work. Normalize the equipment after cancellation when instructed to do so.
• Responsible & Maintain work permit record & check work progress of maintenance team.
• Testing of power transformers, vacuum circuit breakers. switch-gears and protection relays.
• Isolation and normalization of MV and LV Bus Bar according to safety LOTO
• To make Toolbox and shutdown meetings
• Racking and grounding of the equipment
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures
• To ensure safety of the workers
• Maintaining system voltage by tap changer
