Project: Etihad Rail (ER) Project Stage 1 (264 km rail network links Shah and Habshan to Ruwais)

• Working as Electrical/Communication Engineer in the Etihad Rail (ER) Project as team member of Program Management Consultant (PMC).
• Interfacing with client (ER) in weekly progress meetings.
• Interfacing with Contractor Systems team on weekly and daily basis, as required.
• Reviewed the detail design for communication networks against the project requirement specifications, some of the main reviewed systems are:
• MSN (Multi Service Network) which enables the communication for all the vital and non-vital services from the site to the operation center, using fiber ring.
• BMIS (Business Management Information System) which enables the IT services for the users, secured intranet, and highly protected and managed internet access through dedicated firewalls.
• LAN (Local Area Network) for all the depot buildings.
• Verified the Installations (ITPs, ITRs etc.), Testing and Commissioning (SATs, SSTs etc.) of Signaling and Communication systems which includes;
• ETCS level 2 IXL System
• GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications - Railway)
• MSN (Multi-Service Network)
• SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
• PMS (Power Management System)
• FDES (Fire Detection and Extinguishing System)
• BMIS (Business Management Information System)
• MMIS (Maintenance Management Information System)
• SMS (Security Management System)
• CCTV (Closed-circuit television)
• ACS (Access Control System)
• FCS (Freight Control System)
• HABD (Hot Axle Bearing Detector)
• HWD (Hot Wheel Detector)
• RHT (Rail Head Temperature)
• WIM (Weigh in Motion)
• DED (Dragging equipment detector)
• Lead Reviewer of SYSTEMS Red-Green and As-Built Drawings
• Lead Reviewer of several CMS (Construction Method Statements) documents
• Managing the Master Punch List close out.
• Core member of PMC’s Defect Liability Period (DLP) team, responsible for direct coordination with Operator “Etihad Rail Deutsche Bahn (ERDB)” System’s department on behalf of client ER.
• Member of Failure Review board (SYSTEMS) under the DLP.
• Responsible for managing the DRACAS.
• Responsible for managing the overall project closeout.
