Responsible for Overall Materials required for projects by both Direct Charge & stock Items.
Prepare Material requirement plan and MTO as per the scope of work for the project.
Material specification and standardization for cataloging, maintain item master with updates in SPIR.
Optimal material check with SPIR to find out the duplicate item number with same specification received with the two years operational spares.
Review, analyze and coordinate with the end users, supplier and manufacturer the new materials proposals in order to ensure correctness and completeness of the specification and other engineering and commercial data by making the reference to drawing and part lists specification.
Warehouse inventory control check for availability and specification confirmation with supporting certification documents.
Liaises with Inventory control, Warehousing to acquire data and obtain feedback on technical specifications as on Item number for special items.
Material exceptional reporting, Materials progress reporting to monitor the availability and replenishment status of stock material reservation in the warehouse.
Material Identification through Blind List, P & ID, Drawings and Data sheets, SPIR, ASME codes, ASTM, ANSI, API, TEMA standards.
Working with MAXIMO in Inventory, Work Order, Purchase Asset and Item Master modules for reservation & purchase and report generation.
Raise Purchase Order by providing correctness of specification & technical clarification for long lead items fabricate/produce to vendor with required certification documents to verify and accept the material.
Technical evaluation of the vendor offers of ordered materials for technical acceptance with delivery period.
Ensure the item code stock type & stock category in the reservation in work order in warehouse inventory or to direct in PR. Continuous follow up and expedite the delivery of the materials in case of discrepancy in specification.
Receiving & Inspecting the Direct Charge material with confirming Ordered Specification and MTC to make MDR for any discrepancy.
Monitoring the availability of reservation & purchase items through Crystal Report application for exceptional reports of shortfalls.
Replenishment of stock items based on the analysis and with a check of surplus availability in other warehouses and issue by RFT shortfall based on urgency.
Holding data of Materials in Custody to work on contingency plan based on the MSDS, Technical Data Sheet& Shelf life and monitor the consumption efficiently.
Ensure the precise use of material/spare at right location & return of unused materials back to warehouse with proper procedure.
Work with reconciliation/return of unused materials with issuance tag with same specification by physical identification.

Overall coordination with warehouse, purchase dept, expediting team, vendor and end users.

Identifying the Material specification for spares from Item code of Warehouse inventory.
Maintaining stock of material needed for maintenance of the plants based on the item criticality.
Evaluate the technical and commercial offers of ordered materials in coordination with the end user.
Provide technical support and advice on the material specification with reference to drawing, SPIR and catalogue references.
Reviewing the two years operational spares for each equipment tag number in MAXIMO Asset module for making correct reservation of material for maintenance activities.
Identifying the long lead items to raise purchase order earlier for single source items or shutdown materials or special parts.
Reviewing the existing material specifications to improve interchangeability & collect appropriate data by verification at site in coordination with inventory control, warehouse operation and end users for accepting the changes of duplicate items.
Updating the specification materials with accordance with PRC (Plant change request) for upgrades.
To coordinate with the end user for acceptance of substitute materials & specification to introduce new products.
Take part in new item code creation based on the existing spares under appendix notes for special items and missed out selected standard spares.
Procuring the required Materials based on the drawings.
Reading engineering drawings to build machines in order to sequence the shop floor activities.
Working in SAP for the stock transfer of material, Purchase & Job Order.
Item Code creation for new component and for temporary code for materials transfer for machining.
Maintain the availability of stock items, raw materials, sub-assemblies and components within the department and main stores for break downs and new projects.
Prepare and issue the follow up status of the stock check activities and to identify the area of concern with recommendations.
Analyze and coordination with the vendor in correcting the technical error dimensionally.
Process planning for the design drawings to schedule the Machining time.
New product/component development and building.
Vendor development for expeditingthe delivery of the Materials.
Approve the Aesthetic of the component based on coating, hardening, finishing.
Inspection and quality control of the components for M/C building.
Cost estimation for the manufacturing M/c parts based on the Machining Cost & Material Cost using SAP application.
Assembling the parts as per drawings controlling the tolerance and rework.
Supervising the subordinates to fulfill the target of production & manufacturing.
Planning mechanical equipment for modification as well as a part of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Total Quality Management (TQM).
Providing the Installation, Maintenance and Repair manual with parts catalogue.
Service and maintenance of the dispatched machine.
