Job Purpose

To liaison between the business and SSC IT to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of communication & relationship, align business IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy, ensure alignment with SSC IT governance, shape demands and assist in the Planning, prioritization and supervision of IT projects to maximize return on investment (ROI).

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include (scope is limited to Segment specific end-user IT services and business applications):
Strategy, Planning & Compliance
• Develop the Segment IT strategy and ensure its alignment with both business and SSC IT strategy.
• Recommends annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets and obtain Segment management approval and SSC IT endorsement.
• Stimulate & manage Segment IT demands.
• Prioritize and manage IT Segment related projects to maximize return on investment with periodic project status feedback to both business and SSC IT.
• Ensures adherence and compliance to SSC IT governance, policies and procedures.
• Monitors and Reports on the “Information Security Audit Recommendations” and the implementation/compliance status to Segment and SSC IT management.
• Identifies and reports on IT related risks and recommend risk management plan to the Segment and SSC IT managements.

Service Delivery & Support
• Identifies and recommends business solutions and innovations that improve business processes, increase efficiencies and reduce costs
• Develops Tender documents, RFPs and Statement of Work for demanded services
• Conducts technical evaluation of offers and prepare final evaluation report with due endorsement of SSC IT
• Reviews and approves user accounts privileges to ensure authorized access levels to business applications
• Develops and manages SLA deliverables for segment specific business applications’ maintenance and support, in coordination with SSC IT
• Manage IT Service Level Agreements for the segment business entities to maximum customer satisfaction as per agreed targets
• Manage segment related vendor relationship and performance
• Manage segment related IT seconded/contracted resources JD Preparation & setting annual objectives
Plan, organize, and integrate cross-functional information technology projects to deliver specific measured results to the customer.
As an Assistant Manager for Retail Solutions, my responsibilities are:
• Prepare the annual business plan for the Retail solutions that is aligned and meets business strategies and objectives
• Manage the architect, design and build of the Retail solutions.
• Analyze new businesses setup requirements and plan & manage implementation and deployment projects.
• Provide advice on the design and the internal structure of the Retail applications to other Group IT (GIT) functions such as BI & DW, Systems Development, and Retail / ERP solutions.
• Coordinate with the Infrastructure management team to ensure the availability, performance and capacity of the Retail solutions.
• Recommend business improvement (i.e. improving operational efficiency and reducing costs) opportunities by maximizing solutions utilization and industry best practices.

• Develop and manage a formal communication channel to report back to all management layers, progress against the plan and ensure that cross-functional priorities are agreed and issues effectively resolved.
I manage Production & Facilities Portfolio applications (license, compliance, upgrade, scripting, roll-out & retirement) for Middle East & Russia Regions and support Business Administration, Wells& Subsurface regional planners in their portfolio-related activities.
As a Regional Production & Facilities Portfolio Consultant, my responsibilities are:
· Initiation & management of applications-script requests for Middle East & Russia regions
· Initiation & management applications & scripts retirement across Middle East & Russia regions
· Initiation & management applications & scripts upgrade across Middle East & Russia regions
· Authorization of Applications’ Request for ME & Russia Regions
· Group Infrastructure-Next Generation (GI-NG) test member for applications compatibility

As Gulf IT Service Management Advisor/Support, my responsibilities for Dubai & Abu Dhabi offices were:
• Manage & Action variations of servers-disk space reports
• Manage & Action Exceptions to Change Logs
• Manage & Monitor IT Service Level Agreement
• Liaise with HR & Finance for users' IT on-boarding & off-boarding (Qatar, Kuwait & Oman are included)
• Full on-boarding (IT & Security) of Antar Project users (Joint project between Shell & ADNOC)
• Users' training on collaboration tools (Centra, NetMeeting, Video Conferencing & Shell MeetMe Conferencing)
• Manage the process of ordering & issuing Mobile Phones, SIM Cards, service activation, phone lines transfer with Etisalat

As the Information Security Focal Point for ME, my responsibilities were to:
• Phase -out PGP encrypted e-mail functionality for Shell Exploration & Production Leadership team in ME
• Create, translate & distribute Information Security guidelines posters (English & Arabic) in Shell UAE offices as part of the Information Security Change Behavior campaign
• Achieve the target of providing Shell Exploration & Production Leadership team in ME with one-to-one mandatory Information Security training
• Promote the use of secure e-mail functionality via e-mail communication to end users & the distribution of posters in Shell UAE offices
Purpose:
Development /support of a GI Desktop in the SMME. In absence of IT focal point, assist IT in SMME in ensuring the quality delivery of GID services to users.
Responsible for DRA (Directory Resource Administrator tool)& File hosting services.
Dimensions:
·Support Systems & Database Administrator in his/her activities
·Provide GI Admin Services to 168 GI users, 9 remote sites, 2-3 third party contract engineers.
Principle Accountabilities:
·To support Systems & Database Admin at SMME.
·Focal Point for DRA, File Hosting, Smart card and Access Management services
·To Liaise with IMG (Integration Management Group) over resolution of GI issues for SMME
·To provide support to MOB (Mobile Office Business) users and ensure end user trainings.
·Ensure that the PIMA services are provided as per the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement)
·Manages the local legacy desktops/Printers contracts.
·Responsible for day to day management of Helpdesk
·Monitor the status of unresolved issues and escalate the issues
