Since 2002 to date, having ‘14 years’ experience in the field of QA/QC Welding/NDT and Coating/Painting inspection on Fertilizer Plant, Steel Mills, Pipeline, Piping, Oil and Gas Plant. During job my activities and experience are mentioned below to clarify my position;
My responsibilities are as under.
Generally I have monitored all mechanical activities during construction phase and also shutdown period.
• To inspect the fit up and welding GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW as per code, standard and specification (FABSHOP and SITE)
• Pre welding, In-Process and Post welding Inspection as per their respective checklist Application and examine NDE as per code and standard
• Selection for RT joints and Marking of repair joint
• To raise and close out DSR/LBE/NCR
• Inspection and monitoring during the handling of welding consumables i.e. storage, baking, holding of basic Low hydrogen Electrodes
• Preparation of QC documentation regarding welding inspection i.e. Daily Joint fit-up and Progress reports
• Inspection of structure in Fabshop and site
• Monitoring pre shutdown Fabrication and Welding Inspection in Fabrication shop.
• Worked as NDT coordinator in field and workshop
• RT interpretation of radiographic film
• Perform and monitoring of NDT
• Involved in Pneumatic\Hydro test activities in field and workshop
• Piping Inspection as per ASME B31.3 and specs including fabrication, Dimensional and Welding Inspection
• Monitoring of Cold tapping and hot tapping activity as per client requirement and specification
• Preparation of WIS for hot topping
• Material inspection as per code and specification.
• Monitoring of NDT application at site and workshop
• WQT, preparation of WPS and witnesses of PQR.
• Line walk and preparation of punch list
• Surface preparation and paint inspection in shop and field
• Holiday testing of 3PE, HSS and coat wraping
• Inspection of Insulation(cold &Hot)
• Witness and review all QA/QC documents up to Dossier submission.
• Sand, Grit, Garnet Blasting & Painting inspection as per standard and specification
• Painting inspection with WFT and DFT gauge
• Hot and cold insulation inspection during shutdowns and projects of Qatar Gas and Ras Gas.
• Monitoring of PWHT and hardness testing on site.
• Ultrasonic Thickness measurement as per Particular schedule, using DM-2 & WM-2
• Visual inspection of Spiral, seem less and ERW pipe.
• Insulation inspection on piping and equipment and HVAC
• A part of ISO Certification
• Internal auditor of HSE
• Inspection of Expansion Bellows on Reformer, Power House
• Inspection of Knock out vessel and drum.
• Ultrasonic Thickness measurement as per Particular schedule, using DM-2 and DMS
• Coat Wrapping inspection and PE coating inspection as per DIN 30678
• Visual inspection of Spiral, seamless and ERW pipe.
• Tank and Silo inspection as per standard specs including fabrication, Dimensional and Welding Inspection
• Insulation inspection on piping and equipment as per ASTM C-795
• Visual inspection of coating, Stringing of pipes, HSS (Raychem) application, Back filling of pipeline, Necessary documentation
• Inspection of Raw Material (I-Joist and angle Iron as per ASTM A-6/ A)
• (Coal tar Epoxy) Paint by Airless Spray gun Method, Inspection as per BS 5493, Client Specification and Manufacturer (SIGMA, CARBOLENE, ICI) ETC recommendation and Application Data Sheet
• Implementation of QIP of my Esteemed Organization.
