I taught English to a group of mixed grade high school students for the Abu Dhabi Education Council's summer program. This was a one month program designed to improve and enhance the English skills of Emirati high school students. This was a theme based program. I created lectures, activities, and hands on projects for the students based on each weekly theme.I was asked to return to Abu Dhabi University to teach a non-accredited beginner level IELTS preparation course. The class was a mixed group of working Emirati adults. The students worked to improve their English skills in the hopes of entering an IELTS course. During this one month program I taught from a prepared Oxford University Press curriculum. In addition, I prepared class activities and prepared students to give oral presentations on a subject of their choice to their peers

I home schooled my eldest son in grades 1 through 3 and then again in grade 6. I taught him in 1st through 3rd grade curriculum, using the Mississippi Department of Education benchmarks as a guide. I used Seton Press Catholic prepared curriculum for all subjects except for mathematics. I used Saxon curriculum for mathematics in grades 1-4 in my son’s preparation. I am currently using Oak Meadow Academy’s curriculum for their online school and teaching him in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Islamic Studies, and Art. He was accepted to Heritage Academy private school for the 2010-2011 school year, and received above average marks in all areas. He attended Al Worood Academy Private School during the 2011-2012 academic year and maintained above average marks in all areas of study.

I am currently teaching Headway Elementary English and Headway Plus Pre-Intermediate to different sections of Police Academy cadets. This is an adjunct instructor position. We are preparing the Police Academy cadets to be able to interact with varying nationalities in their future jobs as police officers. I prepare interactive classroom lessons that correlate with the Headway text. Because that these are post-secondary students, we do a lot of practical activities in the classroom that reflect the different positions within the law enforcement career scope.
