I taught English to a group of mixed grade high school students for the Abu Dhabi Education Council's summer program. This was a one month program designed to improve and enhance the English skills of Emirati high school students. This was a theme based program. I created lectures, activities, and hands on projects for the students based on each weekly theme.I was asked to return to Abu Dhabi University to teach a non-accredited beginner level IELTS preparation course. The class was a mixed group of working Emirati adults. The students worked to improve their English skills in the hopes of entering an IELTS course. During this one month program I taught from a prepared Oxford University Press curriculum. In addition, I prepared class activities and prepared students to give oral presentations on a subject of their choice to their peers
I home schooled my eldest son in grades 1 through 3 and then again in grade 6. I taught him in 1st through 3rd grade curriculum, using the Mississippi Department of Education benchmarks as a guide. I used Seton Press Catholic prepared curriculum for all subjects except for mathematics. I used Saxon curriculum for mathematics in grades 1-4 in my son’s preparation. I am currently using Oak Meadow Academy’s curriculum for their online school and teaching him in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Islamic Studies, and Art. He was accepted to Heritage Academy private school for the 2010-2011 school year, and received above average marks in all areas. He attended Al Worood Academy Private School during the 2011-2012 academic year and maintained above average marks in all areas of study.
I am currently teaching Headway Elementary English and Headway Plus Pre-Intermediate to different sections of Police Academy cadets. This is an adjunct instructor position. We are preparing the Police Academy cadets to be able to interact with varying nationalities in their future jobs as police officers. I prepare interactive classroom lessons that correlate with the Headway text. Because that these are post-secondary students, we do a lot of practical activities in the classroom that reflect the different positions within the law enforcement career scope.
I taught English, Math, and Science to a class of 4th grade students. I also worked as the lead teacher in the grade 4 group, preparing lesson plans, activities and aids for all of the grade 4 teachers. I prepared weekly exams as well as term and final exams in all three subject areas. In addition to my duties as a class teacher, I worked as a Jr. Head of the English Department preparing curriculum standards for the school, supervising and evaluating other class teachers, and supervising the perpetration of lesson plans and exams for grades 1-4. I also presented educationally based teacher development programs for continuing education and support of class teachers in grades 1-4.
In my professional semester I practiced teaching at the secondary school level. This practice teaching program was a full-time teaching position under the supervision of a licensed teacher with 21 years of teaching experience. I was also supervised by a professor at the university. I taught 7th grade Mississippi Studies and Civics, 8th grade United States History, High School Advanced Placement History, and Humanities elective. I had 115 students total in all grades.
I worked as a student teacher in a 10th grade World History classroom and a 11th grade U.S. History classroom. For this assignment I developed lesson plans, test material, taught classes, and assisted the supervising teacher with classroom management, developing power point presentations, and other technical aids.

I worked as an English Teacher teaching English as a Second Language to business professionals as it was required in their respective careers. I held this position during two different time periods as a part-time teacher. The school is owned and operated by a British national educator. The school employs only native English speaking teachers. I was the first American to hold a position at the school, which has been operating for nearly 20 years. To date, I have been the only American teacher to be asked to return to this position.
I worked as a Supervisor and Lead Lieutenant for Air Force Security Service. In this position I work closely with the Operations Officer/Superintendent and their designated representatives, immediately responding to operational needs. I directly supervised 34 security officers. In addition to my supervisory duties, I was also responsible for administrative tasks as an Administrative Assistant to the Site Manager. Among my administrative duties were payroll, scheduling, general accounting, and completing new hire procedures as a Human Resources liaison to the corporate offices.
I worked as a Student-Teacher. Developed lesson plans, working case studies, and teaching classes alongside a supervising teacher in a 9th grade Geography class.
I worked as a Billing Clerk, accounting for processing of incoming freight to terminals in Columbus, Grenada, and Tupelo, MS. I was responsible for computer billing information, supervising dock personnel at the Columbus terminal, ensuring trailers were loaded accurately, along with general office duties.
I worked as an Administrative Assistant to a project manager at the Columbus Air Force Base Family Support Center. I coordinated employment services for dependent spouses of military members. I worked closely with employment service agencies in Columbus and Starkville areas, to place individuals with employment. I developed and implemented a tracking system for the entire program.
I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in the United States and Asia, providing medical attention to military members and their dependents in both clinical and contingency settings. I worked as a supervisor in Allergy and Immunizations clinics in both the United States and Asia. I also worked as a Security Forces Auxiliary police officer at both Little Rock Air Force Base and Columbus Air Force Base, providing security at the point of entry, flight-line, and base patrol.
