Job Responsibilities: -
Technical Task
Following hardware and software were being maintained by me.
1 Hardware firewall Juniper SSG 140 (No third party/outsource services
obtained for any vendor). Configuration area: -
a. Configuration of VPN.
b. Configuration VIPs, MIPs.
c. Configuration interfaces (LAN and WAN).
d. Configuration ACLs (white/Black lists).
e. Configuration DHCP through SSG140.
f. Policies trusted to untrusted and wise versa.
2 Configuration of Access Points, Cisco Linksys routers etc
3 Configuration and maintaining following servers.
i. Email server with Lotus Domino 8.5.3.
ii. Email on mobile devices (Android/Symbian/IOS(Apple)/Blackberry) -
Traveler server 8.5.2.
iii. Instant Messaging Server - Lotus Domino Sametime server.
iv. Software firewall Brightmail gateway product of Symantec Corporation,
integrated with Lotus Domino 8.5.3 for email (pop) deep scanning.
v. Windows server 2003 and 2008 R2 with Raid-5/Raid-0/Raid-1 for all
applications/services.
vi. Configuration and management - SAN HP P2000 with 7.2TB.
vii. Configuration and Management - HP Works Storage SAN 8/8
Switches.
viii. Configuration and management - ESXi 5.1 with vSphere client and
vCenter (installation and configuration), vMotion.
ix. Push scanning configured on Canon IRC 4580i and Canon
AdvImageRunner 5030 with Active Directory on windows server.
x. File server, FTP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory and IIS server on
windows server 2008 R2 enterprise.
Administrative task
i. Prepare work plan, budget (cost estimation) for new projects.
ii. Provide precautionary arrangements to make safe and secure ICT
environment and infrastructure.
iii. Check and control quality assurance during implementation of project.
iv. Compare and verify project’s goal with different techniques by using check
list and by cross check of technical proposal.
v. Communication with vendors or other counterpart NGOs and take
appropriate decision for implementation of project plans.
vi. Prepare security plan and implement security policy to prevent ICT
infrastructure from hackers or disasters.
vii. Liaise as focal person of UN-Habitat Pakistan for inter-agency
meetings/activities.
viii. Provide input to finalize SLAs, vendor’s contract, FRQs and Local LTAs
(long terms agreements) according to agency policy.
ix. Act as regular member of Local Committee on Contracts (LCC) and
technical committee to approve technical proposals.
x. Responsible to select latest trend and technology’s equipment for office.
xi. Front line coordination with procurement and finance department.
xii. Provide help to prepare customized application’s manual and training
guides.
xiii. Prepare network infrastructure diagram for new offices and ensure to
provide connectivity plan.
xiv. Increase effectiveness and efficiency of the production network by
designing and implementing IT related projects.
xv. Coordinate with ICT team and act like bridge in between management and
ICT team.
Responsibilities: -
a) Managed network infrastructure (LAN).
b) Managed servers of windows 2003/Advanced Server 2000 (Active
Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, RAS, (Samba, squad in
Linux), Internet Security & Acceleration (ISA)
c) Server and Exchange Server).
d) Managed bridge router model Cisco Aeronet and switches.
e) Act as active member for acquisition of new hardware/software.
Performed major roll in network planning, design, deployment and
modification.
f) Provide physical connections to the new client.
g) Monitor bandwidth use, analyzes traffic patterns with volumes and
determine impact/implications of issues.
h) Ensure security standards are upheld.
i) Installation and de-installation of software as per requirement.
j) Prepare documentation/Logical Diagram of new planned network.
k) Prepare feasibility report of new system.
l) Provide technical training and solution to other staff of computer
labs.
m) Responsible for disaster recovery.
n) Responsible for taking back up of all data.

Technical work: -
1. To look after the Local Area Network (LAN)
2. Manage Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000
4. Manage Linux RedHat 7.0 Server.
5. Design and Development the network plan.
6. Check and Monitor the efficiency of Network traffic.
7. Take back up of servers on daily basis.
8. Scheduling job/task to the servers.
9. Installation and de-installation of software for employees of FPIU.
10. Troubleshoot the systems.
Responsibilities: -
1. Follow oral and written instructions and guidelines in responding to
requests from users and regarding the input and output of computer data.
2. Schedule computer runs of production on servers based on the number
and priority of the run request and the on-going usage and capabilities of
the computer.
3. Reads flow diagrams to identify disk files to be used as input for
execution of request programs.
4. Use computer terminal to request disks needed from computer library,
to set up jobs and to monitor the execution of programs.
5. Maintain a computer library by performing such task as cataloging
disks, assigning retention dates, logging tapes in and out, pulling and
filling disks, and cleaning, and purging.
6. Update and correct data in the data base, recovers data files for users
from disk and back-up cartridges.
7. Reconciles and balance control totals for documents with totals of
computer generated reports.
8. Maintain daily records and logs of specific activities.
9. Prepare reports by searching pertinent records and selecting proper
information to compile into report form.
10. Perform related work as assigned.
