• Provide periodic reports on procurement and inventory to the HOD and superiors where necessary.
• Planning supply chain schedules in advance in preparation for busy seasonal periods.
• Ensure the department’s goals are achieved without having to exceed the planned budget.
• Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment, and Supplier Performance and compliance with commercial terms.
• Negotiate with suppliers the requirements of the offered quotation to minimize the cost and get flexible payment terms with best delivery time and conditions.
• Verifies terms of credit, Insurance coverage and shipping conditions to determine compliance with establishing standards.
• Analyze market and delivery system to assess the present and future material availability.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedure.
• Negotiate to ship and receiving contracts ensuring on-time delivery for critical inventory.
• In touch with shipping lines /forwarders regarding booking of import /Export shipments and freight rates.
• Monitors the flow of the product from the start to the final delivery, while also recommending ideal means of transportation that deem to increase efficiency.
• Follow up with the customs regulation & preparing the required customs documents as authorization, undertaking, Saber Certificates, and follow up the delivery order with broker & the containers free detention days.
• Maintain courteous and friendly atmosphere and good working relationships with all colleagues.
• Supports financial negotiations for all significant areas of spend, with aim of achieving year on year reductions in like for like spend
Prepare effective business plan for all projects to achieve required product volume and profit. Organize all market plans to suit all customer requirements and monitor all specific transactions of all customers for all processes.
• Identify business opportunities and monitor customer satisfaction to maintain a good relationship by resolving all issues fast before they get out of hand.
• Identify appropriate transportation method in assistance with customers.
• Prepare all export documents within required timeframe and schedule efficient shipping activities.
• Establishing and managing relationships with freight carriers and other service providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Compute tariffs, price conversations, weight, and volume for merchandise exported to foreign destinations.
