Started working as Marketing Executive and underwent multiple promotions. Worked as Head of Marketing and Retail to enhance Retail reach of the brand in India. As Head of Marketing and Institutional Business, my responsibilities included Strategising Marketing, create Communication and other online and offline content for inbound marketing in the TG to market products in silver, glass, brass, copper, other metals, in the form of utensils, kitchenware, tableware, decor ware, etc., Leading a team of energetic professionals to manage Public Relations, Media Relations, Media Planning & buying, ATL, BTL, Corporate Communication targeted primarily to make the brand popular to the domestic bulk buyers; Developing the business by way of market research, analysis and planning an execution based on the analytics; Generating leads, develop channels for Silver and Silver plated products manufactured by the company for home decor, lifestyle and gifting; Running digital marketing campaign from time to time to acquire Institutional Customers; Manage key accounts, dealers, affiliates, associates, event management companies, wedding planners, and web based multi brand outlets like AMAZON, FLIPkart, Snapdeal, Pepperfry. Customer Relations and Service Delivery management included alongside.
Responsible to help the administration, of this innovative interiors and event management company, to establish an internal system of managing the marketing and sales force; Corporate Customer Acquisition, including PSU and public sector banks and Cooperatives to sell interior designing, branding, special signages and other related services; And Business Alliances with event management companies.
This was a small private enterprise, which supplied various labels and branding tags, etc. to small and medium garment manufacturers in Asia’s largest Garment manufacturing and trading hub in Matiaburuz, Kolkata and other relevant areas across the city. My primary responsibility was marketing the company’s products to the TG, which in this case were small and large garment and hosiery manufacturing units; Also needed bagging business alliances and on-boarding channel partners and achieving sales targets. Other than this, exploring new markets by developing new product concepts alongside managing vendors was also in my portfolio.
I like to continue to learn and this was to give my formal education an enhancement so as to help me in my career contributions.
This was to fulfill my formal educational goals, which was halted in 1992, when I dropped out of my undergraduate course of pure science under University of Calcutta, India. It was due to a family matter.
