Manager Enterprise Storages Systems

As a Team Lead manage Production and DR DCs looking after all infrastructure related issues including but not limited
to;
- Review of Existing Infrastructure (DC and Systems) for Revamp and Upgrade inline with the latest technological
advances and business goals.
- DC Infrastructure Monitoring and Management w.r.t Cooling, Power etc using ISX for APC based power and in-row
cooling devices
- Rack Space Management in Data Centers for better efficiency & creating space for new equipment comprising of
Oracle Exadata, EMC VNX 5400 and Blade Solution.
- Hardware and OS Administration of servers mainly P770, P595, P570, IBM Blades HS series, HP Blade c7000, DL380,
DL360, DL140, and various other servers running mainly on AIX, Windows, RHEL, Oracle Linux, etc.
- SAN Administration of DS8300, DS8700 and VNX 5400 storages.
- Understanding of Oracle FlexCube application requirements with respect to the state of the art Servers and
equipment management that is deployed for its smooth functioning.
- Playing a key role in change management from vendor centric to in house self-managed environment.
- Representation of the team internally and externally as and when required.

Data Center (Facilities) Management
o Maintenance and Management of BAL - DC Lahore and looking after all infrastructure related issues at Data Centre
Wapda Town Lahore (Production) as well as WHDC (Backup DC).
o System Administration of various equipment deployed in Central Region and Data Centers including systems running on
HP-UX 11i V3, HP-UX 11i V2.3, Microsoft windows (2003/8) & Storage servers Operating Systems, HP Data Protector,
HP System Insight Manager, HP System Management Homepage, HP Command view including Continues Access &
Business Copy, HP System Administration Manager.
o Administering various HP & IBM servers mainly SuperDome (SD-9000), HP DL380, c7000 Blade and Power 700 series
server models.
IT Services & Operations Management
o Understanding of Temenos (T24) application requirements with respect to the state of the art Servers and equipment
management that is deployed for its smooth functioning.
o Administration of Central region branches and Hubs (CPU's, Conventional Branches, business Hubs), and maintenance
of all ADC deployed in the region.
o Providing support to Branches with respect to in-house BankSmart Application, various Software and Hardware related
issues for optimal performance.
o Ensuring that all the machines / server and clients are up to the mark (updated) and performing well.
Vendor Management
o Coordination with vendors (IBM/HP/Infotech/PSL/FALCONSTOR/GBM) for Level2 support on HP / FALCONSTOR/ GBM
Hardware, Software, Replication & storage related issues.
o Coordination with other stakeholders to enhance Information Systems Security Policies and Procedures and Backup
plans for Business Continuity.
o Representation of the team internally and externally as and when required
