I am responsible for the supervision of maintenance personnel and for the efficient and effective daily operation of the maintenance garage in order to ensure that the
daily service quota is met for the commuting public. In order to meet the daily challenges of
this dynamic environment, the Fleet Supervisors will work with other Supervisors, the Fleet
Controller, vendors, contractors, Halifax Transit Operations and Provincial Inspectors in the
scheduling of work/inspections, allocation of equipment, parts acquisitions as well as life cycle
decisions such as vehicle acquisition disposal Data management, Process implementation, Staff development, Team leadership, Data analysis, Inspection reviews, Strong verbal communication, Clerical support.
Responsible for all on site aspects of the logistics, supply chain, and customer delivery operations. In charge of making sure that each stage of the distribution process is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards.
DUTIES
• Working with multiple customers at the
sometime.
• Conducting disciplinary, capability and grievance
investigations and taking appropriate action to
address any failings.
• Responding to all customer complaints or
queries in an efficient manner.
• Visiting key clients to build relationships and
identify their key needs.
• Conducting crime and loss investigations into
missing stock and loads.
• Ensuring the efficient running of administration
and office procedures.
• Securing and alarming premises and monitoring
security procedures.
• Actively managing subcontractors to ensure that
they perform in line with their contractual
agreements.
• Supervising the completion of all checks and
documentation required by law.
• Monitoring and tracking the flow of goods into
the warehouse.
• Controlling the order cycle.
• Acted as Liaison between drivers and customers, which included scheduling, managing, and training.
• Managed invoicing and recordkeeping as well as driver payroll.
• Handled inquiries from new clients and current customers, as well as monitored quality assurance and resolved complaints or issues with any orders or containers.
• Directly in charge of coordinating daily operations.

Responsibilities
• Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings or equipment and color coordination.
• Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings.
• Estimate material requirements costs and present design to client for approval.
