 The primary role is to supervise and lead the Warehouse Materials and Inventory Control Operations, so that the plant operations remain uninterrupted and a support service is provided in a safe and cost-effective manner.

 Other areas of responsibility include:

* WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS:
Supervise all warehouse operations including inventory control, materials, stocking and handling, equipment operation etc. in line with SCC policy procedures and ensure a working environment in the workplace.
* WAREHOUSE PROCEDURES:
Develop and implement warehouse procedures to increase efficiency and standardization of warehouse operations. Identify areas of improvement in order to increase warehouse efficiencies and speed of response to end users.
* ORDERING AND REPLENISHMENT:
Re-order and replenish stocks, through Purchasing and ensure that the materials are delivered timely and in the right quantity and quality.
* INVENTORY CYCLE COUNT:
Ensure that the inventory cycle count of all items is completed annually to ensure the actual stock matches the stock records in the Materials Management System.
* WAREHOUSE INFORMATION SYSTEM:
Ensure the Materials Management System is timely updated so that the information in the system is accurate and can be used for decision-making and quick retrieval.
* SAFETY AWARENESS:
Maintain safety awareness and enforce safety standards in warehouse operations, equipment and people in order to meet or exceed SCC standards and procedures.
* HR MANAGEMENT:
Provide the leadership and guidance to all warehouse staff and provide input on selection and ensure warehouse staff are well trained, developed, rewarded and motivated to deliver the highest standards of performance.
* PROJECT MATERIALS MANAGEMENT:
Develop a work plan to undertake Project Materials Management related to special projects like turnaround or plant modifications so that the normal work is not interrupted and optimal service is provided.
* SURPLUS & SCRAP MATERIALS:
Coordinate with Maintenance planning & warehouse to prepare the list of surplus material, then invite bidders to submit offers, evaluate & finalize the sale with the lowest bidder.
* BLANKET AGREEMENTS:
Establish, implement, review & update blanket agreements with local vendors.
