Key responsibilities: Designing and delivering comprehensive HSSE training programs tailored to the specific needs of governmental agencies, focusing on areas such as Electricity, Water, Sewers, and Municipality departments. These programs aimed to enhance their understanding and implementation of HSSE best practices. Providing expert consultancy services to governmental agencies in the Ninawa governorate, offering guidance and support in developing and implementing effective HSSE strategies, policies, and procedures. This involved conducting thorough assessments of existing systems, identifying gaps, and recommending suitable measures for improvement. Working closely with agency personnel to build their capacity in HSSE management, facilitating knowledge transfer and empowering them to take ownership of HSSE initiatives. This included mentoring, coaching, and providing technical guidance to enhance their skills and competencies in managing HSSE in their respective areas. Ensuring that governmental agencies complied with local and international HSSE regulations, standards, and guidelines. Providing guidance on legal requirements, codes of practice, and industry standards relevant to their operations, and assisting in developing and implementing appropriate measures to achieve compliance. Conducting comprehensive risk assessments for the various departments, identifying potential hazards and risks, and developing appropriate risk mitigation strategies. This involved collaborating with agency personnel to implement control measures and monitor their effectiveness. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster a culture of HSSE awareness and cooperation. Engaging with agency personnel, local communities, and other relevant entities to promote a shared commitment to HSSE excellence and sustainable development. Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of HSSE activities, progress, and achievements. Documenting best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to inform future initiatives and support knowledge sharing.
