•Conduct feasibility studies, appraise equipment manufacturers recommendation and to recommend / implement modifications aiming at the improvement of the reliability and performance of the rotating & static equipment leading to the optimization of maintenance cost.
•Assist plants in identifying solutions to the mechanical maintenance problems that require more in depth investigation and discuss with Original Equipment Manufacturers the solutions, when necessary, to ensure effectiveness.
•Good problem solving and analytical skills.
•Review along with the procurement division the spare stock requirement of the plant material ensuring that optimum levels are maintained and support the procurement division during the technical evaluation of offers received from various suppliers.
•Participate in the shutdown jobs and preparing the time schedule plan for the projects under execution.
•Preparing technical and commercial evaluation for the bidders and vendors tenders and offers.
•Provide technical leadership and decision making for engineering work carried out by the project team.
•Full awareness and implementation of the requirements of Quality Management System QMS and Environmental Management System EMS.
•Full awareness and implementation of the requirements of Safety and Hygiene related to Oil & Gas field.
•Ensure that engineering and design activities are of a quality to meet the required standards and are produced in a timely and cost effective manner
•Provide coaching and support towards the development of engineers/designers within the Engineering team as appropriate.
•Manage HSE, Commercial, Design, Quality and Risk Management control for all projects, tasks and activities.
