, control, monitor, supervise and co-ordinate of the engineering in accordance with the project, statutory requirements and applicable engineering standards ensuring a consistent design philosophy and standards by the engineering disciplines.
•Determine optimum development scenario for development of Brown/Green field projects based on iterating technical and commercial analysis of the different development scenarios, which includes Cost Benefit Analysis, full Life Cycle Analysis for all options.

•Assist plants in identifying solutions to the mechanical maintenance problems that require more in depth investigation and discuss with Original Equipment Manufacturers the solutions, when necessary, to ensure effectiveness.

•Review along with the procurement division the spare stock requirement of the plant material ensuring that optimum levels are maintained and support the procurement division during the technical evaluation of offers received from various suppliers.
•Participate in the shutdown jobs and preparing the time schedule plan for the projects under execution.
•Preparing technical and commercial evaluation for the bidders and vendors tenders and offers.
•Provide technical leadership and decision making for engineering work carried out by the project team.
•Full awareness and implementation of the requirements of Quality Management System QMS and Environmental Management System EMS.
•Full awareness and implementation of the requirements of Safety and Hygiene related to Oil & Gas field.
•Ensure that engineering and design activities are of a quality to meet the required standards and are produced in a timely and cost effective manner
•Provide coaching and support towards the development of engineers/designers within the Engineering team as appropriate.

•Responsible for development and execution of Global Ocean / SUBSEA 7 ongoing strategic vision and plan for the Oil & Gas industry, as well as being the primary driver, revising and advising the Board on implementation of the plan
•Supervise and manage the Technical disciplines (Engineering / Procurement Support / Construction & Installation Support & Projects Controls) of Global Ocean / SUBSEA 7
•Responsible for the Technical outputs of Global Ocean / SUBSEA 7
•Maintain and update staff know-how, technical performance of department and quality of engineering.
•Define technical area of improvement and action plan.
•Support projects and tenders for engineering / project control scopes such as Permanent equipment and Installations Aids Design, Assets Modifications, Welding, Material, Fabrication, Naval Architecture, Structure Lowering Methods and Analysis, Pipe lay Methods and Analysis.
•Negotiate offers and supervise scope of work and change orders when subcontracting work to consultants.
