Thirty-three (37) years of practical experience in field oriented research in different fields of fisheries, oceanographic and biological science at different capacities including (5) years in the government, in the following tune:

I. 1979-1981
Conducted research work on the “Taxonomy of penaeid shrimp found in the Matamahuri river estuary” under University of Chittagong, Bangladesh as an M.Sc. Project.

II. 1983 to 1988:
For last Seven (7) years while working under Marine Fisheries Research, Management and Development project engaged in planning, operation and execution of exploratory fisheries survey and resources research in Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh utilizing the Research Vessels ANUSHANDHANI and MACHRANGA aiming at the studies of fish and shrimp stock assessment, their distribution in time and space, breeding and migration and oceanographic parameters influencing in breeding migration, abundance etc. In particular, actively engaged in Marine Fisheries Resources Survey and stock assessment program, leading some survey cruises of R/V ANUSHANDHANI as a national counterpart scientist to the FAO Team Leader/ Senior Fisheries Biologist of the FAO/BGD/80/025 program and collecting data on fisheries biology and oceanography regularly from almost all over the continental shelf of Bangladesh. Processing and analyzing the collected data regularly for study of the rates of growth, recruitment, natural mortality, fishing mortality and exploitation ratio with a view to prescribe in the long run the immediate as well as long-term measures for optimum utilization of the open water fishery resources. Leading a national team of fish stock assessment in collection and processing of fishery data in the above direction.

In addition collecting catch and effort data from off-shore commercial fishing fleet, processing and analyzing those data both manually and by using a HP-868 microcomputer, reporting the extent of stock, maximum sustainable yield and current status of exploitation in the off-shore marine fish and shrimp fisheries and suggesting the authority about the probable measures for scientific management and conversation of the marine renewable resources in the EEZ of Bangladesh.

III. 1990-2015: For last 26 years worked
as a part-time fisheries Consultant in aquaculture firm A.K. Fisheries at Bhadughar, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh from 1990 to present (worked as fisheries Consultant in the weekly holidays and others holidays in every year throughout 25 years).

2016-Present:Working as an adviser For last 1 year 3 months working as a part-time fisheries Adviser in aquaculture firm A.K. Fisheries at Bhadughar, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh and self employed in my organization Center for Development Initiatives in Capture Fisheries (CDICF), Dhaka as Senior Fishery Biologist(Fish Stock Assessment & Fish Population Dynamics).
