• Entrusting with the overall accountability in managing the Bid No-bid process & Validates the qualification of new opportunities
• Leading & managing Commercial & Tender response team & Playing a stellar role in providing end-to-end support throughout the Bid life cycle including pipeline planning
• Leading, Developing and implementing effective biding strategies, streamlining, and improving current bidding process in line with the overall Business Development Strategic plan & in accordance with APMP standards.
• Chairing the Bid governance meeting, Initiates bid kick-off meetings & puts the right bid action plan in place to deliver high quality bids & Ensure all relevant sign-off/approval has been obtained as part of the bid process for each bid, presenting key risks, and making recommendations during sign-off meetings with the Bid Committee Members.
• Identifying new points to be included in the bid. Planning and creating detailed bidding proposals & Constantly review and update the boilerplate tender submissions for accuracy and relevance
• Manage team site visits and intelligence gathering to ensure proper estimation of resource requirements and develop strategies for a cost-effective delivery of FM services.
• Use commercial acumen and operational knowledge to customize solutions to convert work winning opportunities into successful and profitable contracts & reviews and finalizes project cost estimates produced by Estimation Engineers in terms of necessary material as per BOQ, resource/ material/ equipment to challenge bid costs, finalize cost model
• Conducting risk assessment and bringing the issues to the notice of the senior management to avoid penalties during the project implementation
• Study the requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP)/Invitation to Tender (ITT)/Pre-qualification (PQQ), & Analysing the tender document to understand the needs of the client
• Manage the bid strategy on tenders and work with the solutions & bid response team and communication with key stakeholders including sales, Finance, HR, operations, compliance, SCM, QHSE & management to identify, capture and develop proposal win themes.
• Provides consultation, gives recommendations & appropriate advice, to Bid response team and facilitates decisions
• Assuring that all controls are in place and that the governance meetings (Red, Amber, and Green) are appropriately scheduled and held. Converting work-winning opportunities into successful and profitable contracts.
• Ensure that editing and proof-reading of final submission documents are complete and fully responsive to formal and informal questions posed in the clients bid documentation.
• Carrying out the implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes
• Maintaining and developing a database and archives of resources, documents, CV’s, case studies, and offers from all other previous or current bids
• Develops the overall bid project plan and builds & manages the Bid Team to achieve the bid deliverables in an effective and efficient manner & to ensure that deadlines are met
• Working with BD team to identify new opportunities and pipeline from client relationships.
