I was a sr. resident engineer on the construction supervision team overseeing the delivery of this new sewage treatment plant in Jebel Ali with a capacity of 375 MLD, peak flow of 600MLD, and a budget of 1.6 billion AED. I was DM’s prime point of contact for the construction supervision aspects of the project, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications. I built a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client's counterpart staff. Also, established an appropriate working relationship with the contractors. On site, I placed an emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. I used effective project management and controls systems to regularly report on progress to the client.
