Highly competent in the measurement of quantities for input into cost models, cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantities (for PTE) using both traditional and digital methods.
2. Undertaking viability studies and cost estimating throughout the design stages with an emphasis on cost control and design to budget.
3. Feeding into the rate database by undertaking market research where necessary to support the accuracy of estimating.
4. Undertaking optioneering and value engineering studies at key stages of the design development.
5. Preparation of the documentation for tendering.
6. Analysis of tender returns and preparation of tender report.
7. Undertaking the valuation of contractor’s monthly applications including measured works, preliminaries, materials on site etc.
8. Assessment and evaluation of variations including the ability to negotiate and agree with the contractor, including the preparation of full substantiating documentation.
9. Maintaining the change management log.
10. Maintaining the monthly cost report and ensure that it reflects the latest status of the project.
11. Undertaking project cashflow reporting.
12. Undertaking responsibilities independently or with minimal supervision with the expectation that you can oversee the work of Assistant Cost Consultants.
