Information Technology Developer at Dubai World Trade Centre
  • United Arab Emirates - Dubai
  • September 2003 to February 2007

Websites & Development
Since 1999 my role was to manage 13 bilingual websites for the DWTC as well as handling the new media.

From 2001 and forward I was responsible of everything related to Internet projects in the DWTC including Electronic Services, Websites designing, content writing, updating, internet marketing, registering with the search engines, banner selling and e-services developing. During that period I developed the first online visitors' registration system in the history of the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Development & Applications
within the IT Department I development many systems for the DWTC business some of them:

1. Visitor Registration System
In 2001 we designed the first Online Visitors' Registration system in the history of the DWTC. Later I developed that system to be a complete online and onsite system using Web Technology. The system is capable of auto generating the online registration forms, onsite registration forms, the statistical daily reports, quality assurance reports, printing badges for registrant and reprinting of lost badges as well as many other facilities for the exhibition organizers.

The system had been used successfully in 2005 and 2006 exhibitions and still on use till now.

2. Exhibitors E-Services
The Exhibitor Registration System or E-Services is a system that works online giving the confirmed exhibitors the chance to log to the internet to a secured area and complete most of their required services. Those services like making their staff badges, booking advertisement, downloading manuals, paying via credit cards … etc.

3. News Media System
This system was designed to update the show news during GITEX exhibition. It has an Internet interface where we could log from anywhere and update the news and happenings from inside the show about the exhibitors and their announcements. The system updates different sites beside the Gitex main site and distributes the releases to the PR list.
