Amec Foster Wheeler is a British multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company headquartered in London, United Kingdom and multiple branches all over the world.
Given that i had under 2 years of experience in HR I had to start at an entry level position as an HR Administrator. My role was there to support the HR operations including recruitment, Employee relations, Mobilizations & demobilization, Compensation and benefits. This gave me good exposure to all HR functions.
I have also established the Sports and Social Committee by drafting a proposal to the management which was then shared with the main office in the UK and the idea was highly encouraged and the management allocated a budget to kick start the Committee that looked after all employee engagement events including monthly birthday celebrations, weekly sports events, weekly ethnic lunches, annual iftar, family day, Christmas celebrations. I had amazing feedback on the initiative which is still running successfully till date.
Reason for leaving:
It was very apparent that I had much more potential in growing in that area and that my role was very limiting with no potential of progressing within couple of years due to the size of the team.
Al Bandar Catering is a F&B SME.
My role entailed looking after the operation of sales and Marketing getting the business to where it needed to be focusing on product development and branding, my development strategy extended to developing our workforce which then lead to me also managing the HR operation looking after L&D, Compensation and benefits as well as employee relations.
Reasons for leaving:
Having almost 3 roles was not sustainable.
The direction of the management was not inline with the set strategies which crippled it's progression and development, transforming the company to a cost-centric organization despite all my efforts in bringing change therefore I felt that is was time for me to move on and peruse a career in Human Resources which is an area I've grown to be passionate about.
The company then shut down within 6 months of me leaving.
Manage and supervise Etisalat sales outlet covering staff allocation and roster, system training, daily sales report against the targets, stock control and over seeing customer satisfaction rate.
