• As inventory analyst for responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment’s
& services for the successful completion of all projects and also for the daily operation of the company.
• Responsible for all logistics and transportation in compliance with corporate, local and international procedures and regulations.
• Applying vendor selection & vendor assessment methods to select & evaluate new vendors & sub-contractors.
• Re-view of client / supplier contracts with regards to the terms and conditions relating to procurement & logistics.
• Review and approve supplier / sub-contractors invoices prior to handing over to the accounts payable department after confirming the delivery of materials or services.
• Maintaining updated vendor and sub-contractor list.
• Co-ordination with freight forwarders / shipping lines / transportation companies with regards to all matters on logistics.
• Responsible for the work in progress calculations and reporting related to major contracts, small works and maintenance jobs.
• Responsible for implementing QA/QC and HSE regulations within the department and working towards the goal of achieving the required standards.
• Responsible for managing all functions & staff related with contracts invoicing and collection.
• Responsible for warehouse and inventory management.
• As an inventory analyst responsible for management of a segment of materials inventory across all Suncor Business units & solving issues of strategic importance to the corporation
• Managed the materials Requirements Planning (MRP) exceptions process and makes appropriate changes and develops complex custom SAP reports to identified/correct data errors in SAP.(ROP, Max, Min, EOQ, Leadtime, PO, PR etc)
• Analyzed business plans and utilized inventory modeling techniques to set inventory targets and control levels, develop short-term supply plans, and determine the impact of inventory control issues on service levels. Also, assesses risks, identifies trends and opportunities, and makes recommendations to develop contingency plans.
• Applied Critical Spare Parts Management (CSPM) concepts, maintains basic inventory reports and documentation.(example BW report, NG report)
• Managed inventory planning of Suncor wide Inventory including critical spare parts to ensure reliable operation of Suncor plants.
• Successful completed PIP project.
• Good Knowledge FLOC and BOM.
• MDCR (Material deletion Master)
• Good Knowledge of SAP PM.
• Applied different analysis for reduction of inventory levels.
• Responsible for forecasting and planning raw materials to replenish inventory level for warehouses and maintaining safety stocks of valves and valves parts.
• Set inventory reserve levels to meet customer's demands that decreased turnaround time of finished products.
• Scheduled production with suppliers based on (MRP) Material Reorder points demands. Extended scheduled productions with supplier an additional 60 days by extrapolating MRP report to minimize shortages.
• Submitted (RFQ) Request for Quotes to vendors. Awarded purchase orders based on best value with consideration of cost and delivery date.
• Resolved delivery, technical and quality issues of materials.
• Expedited delivery of purchase orders.
• Successfully led the implementation of SAP as Business Key User for (MM) module.
• Sound expertise in SAP - MM Module (Master Data, MRP, and Purchasing & Inventory).
• Responsible for maintenance of material master data. (Creation, upload, amendment & deletion).
• Define material classification. Supervise coding & cataloguing of materials.
• Linking of spares with equipment as per SPIR.
• Review project SPIRs, carry out critical assessment of spares & recommend spares for stocking.
• Identify non-moving, expired & obsolete items. Prepare course of action in disposal, write-off or sale.
• Supervise inventory control functions; with objective to prevent stock-out & reduce stock holding cost.
• Replenishment of stock items to meet the requirements of normal plant operation & turnarounds.
• Perform technical evaluation of quotations. Carry out material inspection & prepare MDRs.
• Possesses good knowledge of applied international standards e.g. ASTM, ASME, API, NACE etc. Develop management information reports on various requirements and issues.
• Excellent understanding of purchasing transactions & warehouse operations.
• Awareness of ISO standards for Quality, Environment and OHSAS (ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001).
