Position : Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job role : Reviewing the project documents, including drawings or timetables, following up on their approval by the consultant, amending
the necessary clarifications or workshop drawings to complete the approval, if necessary, and coordinating between the project
departments to facilitate the work and completing it on time, while following up and reviewing the documents submitted by the
contractors, such as drawings illustrating the work or inventory of quantities. Preparing an inventory of quantities for the owner’s invoices
and approving them from the consultant while adhering to the work schedule, following up on the status of deliverables in the project,
following up on the invoices of both the owner and the subcontractors, following up on their approval by the project consultant,
monitoring the project costs, following up on the warehouses and their compliance with the work schedule, following up on the project
schedule and reviewing old and expired contracts. The works are to be completed, the final inventory of quantities is prepared and
approved in preparation for the final invoice.
Experiences :
- Estimating the pilot quantity and its costs.
- Reviewing the designs and issuing the necessary executive plans for all the tasks assigned to it.
- Discussing and proposing technical proposals for design drawings, resolving conflicts between structural and architectural, and making
construction and architectural workshop drawings, if necessary & Bar bending schedules.
- Coordination between construction, architectural plans and mep drawing to ensure that there are no conflicts.
- Preparation, issue and review for submittal a quantitative survey of all outgoing items and activities, with the preparation of construction
and arc tables.
- Preparing payments (invoices for each of the general contractor and subcontractor and reviewing them with the consultant for approval).
- Determine budgets for payments, inventory needs and materials.
- Issuing Requests for Information (RFI) to inquire about conflicting or ambiguous information.
- Preparing change orders, preparing and submitting claims and documentation, and following up on approval.
- Follow up on project cost estimation and update data if necessary, while working closely with the rest of the project parties to follow up
on the progress of the schedule and update it to inform management about it periodically.
- As built drawing ( preparation, issue and review for submittal ).
- Advise clients on improvements, strategies and/or estimated costs.
