I report to the Chairman and Board, as this is a key role and I am responsible to provide strategic leadership as part of the executive and provide timely and well considered advice to the Chairman, and the board, on financial and governance issues in addition to contributing to the development and delivery of the broader organizational agenda.

I am responsible for ensuring the organization meets all of its financial, company and governance requirements and is to provide expert financial and governance advice across all areas and encourage learning’s from events and promote a culture of transparency and accountability with evidence-based decision making.

Leadership: Lead the development of financial and governance systems and processes that support the achievement of the organizational deliverables in a manner that increases quality and efficiency, while reducing human resources inputs. This includes ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, organizationally aligned, support improved performance and enable performance monitoring. Effectively lead the delivery of a variety of high-level reviews and projects relating to financial and governance systems, with a focus on best practice and continuous improvement. Working with other executives and managers, build the capacity of programs to effectively and efficiently deliver on agreed activities and contracts.

Financials: Control of the management accounts including performance against budget and projections, for both current and capital expenditure. Provide strategic financial management, including cost and revenue optimization, and management of investments, accounts and payroll. Preparation of the annual budget, including operating and capital budgets, and 5-year cash flow projections. Manage the annual audit process and audited financial accounts for the organization. Provide regular financial reports to the Chairman and Board. Undertake the financial function including banking arrangements, investments, cash flow analysis and projections.

Company Secretary: Ensuring that the organization complies with its statutory obligations under any relevant laws and regulations. Ensuring completion and submission of statutory forms/returns and reporting under relevant legislation and Commonwealth reporting, including arrange Board and committee meetings and conduct all associated Company secretarial duties accordingly.
