Duties and Responsibilities
Studies the requirements of projects and plans practical designs which are compatible with existing facilities and methods through the application of engineering principles and design practices and standards. Coordinates with other offices/disciplines, conducting studies on the system.
Prepares Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, Equipment and Cable route Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Conduit and Cable tray installation layout, etc.
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications such as Calculation, Cable sizing, drum schedule earthing calculations, Generator sizing, Transformer sizing, and Load schedule.
Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks such as Lighting Design, Short-Circuit Calculations, Load Flow Analysis and Protective Device Selectivity/Coordination Study by using ETAP software.
Prepare documents such as Material Repulsions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Engineering Procedures, Method of Statements, etc.
Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer/client’s requirements.
Conduct meetings with various vendors and manufacturers in order to ensure that the equipment and materials that they are supplying are as per the project requirements and specifications
Conducts field survey and inspection to ascertain details of construction and to ensure that the design specifications are followed and render on-the-spot decisions to effect field revisions, when necessary, to avoid delays in completion of projects.
Supervise a team of electrical supervisor, foreman and technicians during construction stage activities to ensure smooth workflow and adjusts schedules when necessary to avoid delays.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

4. Revamp of Effluent Treatment Facilities. KNPC (from Jan 2009 to Nov 2011)
5. Replacement of 9 crude oil filling lines. KOC (from April 2008 to Jan 2009)
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction, and installation standards and specifications.
Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and project.
Ability to develop the scope of work, schedules, Execute and Monitors the progress to achieve the schedules and budgets. Management of quality of total engineering efforts an assigned project.
Prepare and review of SLD and specifications. Prepare requests for proposals and evaluate bids. Selection of vendors for various items and projects.
Familiarization in Cable sizing calculation, Selection of cable and cable accessories such as cable gland, lugs, Termination kits, joint kits. Preparation of Cable schedule, Drum schedule, Execution and monitoring of cable works.
Construction, Erection, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of 13.8/34.5KV, 11/.440KV, 110/22KV, 33/11KV, 33/.433KV, 11/.433, 11/3.3KV, 3.3/.433KV Sub-Station.
Substation Equipments: Installation, Erection, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of Substation equipment such as Transformer H.T and L.T Switch gear, Bus Coupler. Bus Bar assembly, MCC, IMCS, VFD, FACP, and Relay control panel, Marshaling panel. Lighting protection system, earthing system,

• Operation and Preventive maintenances of substations Equipments, 132/33 KV substations with including 132 KV transmission line, Electrical and Mechanical and Fire protection utilities.
• Operation and maintenances 33/132 KV ELECTROTEC. Make (85 MVA) ratings transformer its associated control units and protection panel.132/33 KV ELECTROTEC. Make (40/65 MVA) ratings transformer its associated control units and protection panel. With including transformer cooling system.
• Operation and maintenances 33/132 KV switchyard including its associated equipments such as surge arrester, earth switch, C.T, s and P.T, s.
• Maintenance of 132 KV OHT transmission line.
• 132/33 KV switchyard including its associated equipments such as surge arrester, earth switch, C.T, s and P.T, s
• Operation and maintenances of 33/11KV, 11/0.433 KV Emirates make transformers with associated HT & LT switch gear, Earthing system, and RMU network maintenance in AL-RUWAIS camp area.
• Carry out the preventive maintenance of battery bank. Inspect the specific gravity of Electrolyte. Measure the individual battery performance.
