• Assumed complete responsibility for the operations of 3 workshops handling works pertinent to surface treatment, FAM, bending and tubing.
• In-charge of Production Operations department in the absence of the Production Operations Manager.
• Rendered expertise on a variety of important projects like SEF, ASV, ICPC, PSAB, IC-MC, IC-AT, NASV, AL-SHIBL and PENHARD.

Responsibilities as Superintendent:
• Administered entire operations of the metal forming department and planned, executed and monitored all operation & maintenance activities.
• Sourced new vendors from outside the country and established active liaisons with them for a wide variety of heavy machinery like plasma cutting, CNC and bending machines.
• Verified all material coming from outside factory for surface
treatment including Farley, painting and shot blasting machinery and prepared technical specifications with R&D and Engineering department.
• Engaged in manpower planning activities, conducted interviews and selected applicants for new hire in addition to overseeing all orientation, training and development needs.
• Attended a variety of technical meetings, kept abreast of latest standards within the industry and concentrated on implementation of GMP within plant particularly in safety measures.

Responsibilities as Acting Manager-Logistics Department:
• Controlled local and foreign purchase, warehouses, liaised with customs clearance authorities and established reliable supply and backup sources to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Augmented bidding process, provided recommendations, negotiated service contracts, called for proposals and obtained bids for procurement at competitive rates.
• Initiated and maintained stellar contractual relationships with select suppliers subject to strict quality standards and liaised with suppliers to obtain critical product information, such as price, availability and delivery schedules.
• Selected products and assessed supplier competency through surveys, sampling and testing in accordance with cost and quality parameters
• Ensured sufficiency of purchase documents and adherence to current terms and conditions as outlined in the contracts and interacted with finance department to arrange for payments.

• Only authorized person to deal with supplier of both local and foreign purchase materials.
• Managed, distributed and monitored the movement of all materials between company locations and client destinations, with due relevance to associated transportation logistics.
• Responsible for keeping the existing stores and warehouses smooth and efficient, also established new ones while keeping close tabs on the applicable logistics and market trends / prices.
• Optimized usage of all available resources to execute delivery as per schedule and within budgeted overheads.
• Audited and approved all purchase orders, tracked BOM to ensure that every item is purchased correctly at the right time and authorized issuance of materials as per technical specifications of buyer and clients.
• Affirmed all materials and products - new or returned - fulfilled specific logistical journey in minimal time cycle, reducing idle stock and resultant overheads.
• Prepared periodic reports highlighting possible anomalies, underlying causes and recommendations to circumvent supply chain bottlenecks and submitted reports statistics and analysis of the same to higher management.
