• Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services in a timely and efficient manner and in compliance with Deux Project Limited’s value for money and transparency guidelines/regulations on procurement.
• Liaise with Project Team to anticipate changes and together with Technical & Planning departments provide Senior Management with advance notice of potential trends.
• Secure additional information on sectional needs and prepare recommendations on vending sources.
• Monitor procurement processes and compliance with Deux Project Limited procedures.
• Liaise with Vendors and End user to ensure that correct materials specification is provided.
• Participate and where necessary lead negotiations and dispute resolution with Contractors on all matters relating to procurement.
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.
• Provide general commercial and technical advice for the management and Project Team members.
• Undertake appraisal performance reviews of commodity buyers
• Generate reports as required by the management.
• Maintain an updated LPO log which enables us track and monitor all LPO's issued
• Ensure that the storekeeper keeps track of his min- max balance, which will enable him forecast ahead.
• Ensure that all store processes are adhered to and according to procedure
• Ensure records of all correspondence, meetings, actions and decisions relating to the Procurement are maintained.
• Perform any other duties that are required by the management
• Receive all requisitions for Local Procurement as well as services
• Coordinate market survey and raise LPO’s to successful vendors, also ensurer that the good are delivered on time in line with the Purchase Order.
• Actively participate in the setting up of Frame Agreements when and where required.
• Advise the management on ways and means to reduce cost.
• Keep an updated record of LPO's issued with all relevant documents in the event of an audit.
• Generate Reports as required by the management.
• Provide general commercial advice for the Contract Holders and Project Team members.
• Ensure records of all correspondence, meetings, actions and decisions relating to the Procurement are maintained.
• Liaise with clients on matters relating to company procurement.
• Supervise tender packaging, procurement and delivery of materials to company sites.
• Oversee the sales of company agency products (valves/accessories, pumps, flow meters, etc) and services required in the Oil/Gas and Allied Industries.
• Identify, prospect for markets, plan and execute contracts/jobs for drilling mud/chemicals, laboratory (industrial) analyses, and oil industry tools and equipment (Welker Engineering Products) applied in the Oil/Gas and Allied Industries.
• Develop company clientele base and initiate new business areas that are relevant to company corporate philosophy and skills.
• Develop statistics of all projects/products handled by the company.
• Monitor/control the stock of products/materials in the warehouse.
• Supervise the analyses of water/effluent water, soil, drilling mud and cuttings.
• Compilation of technical reports and other job functions as assigned by the company management.
Effluent monitoring and standardization of SPDC East production facilities which involved physico-chemical analysis of soil, waste waters, drilling mud and cuttings for chloride, oil and grease, sulphates, nitrates, phosphates levels, etc using spectrophotometer, hydrocarbon extraction and soil mechanical analysis in soil seepage environment.
• Operation of all items of plant and performance of all water treatment as per scope of work,
• Daily logging of all work activities carried out, pH readings, chlorine residue, chemical usage,
• Carry out visual inspection of water samples, visual checks of plant structure for faults or leaks and effect adjustments and actions required as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Ensure safe operations within the facility area/ requisition of chemicals/reagents to replenish depleted stock.
Organize tutorials; perform other duties as assigned by Head of Department
• Prepare of inventory for materials in stock in the warehouse.
• Make requisition for materials to replenish depleted warehouse stock and for general oil well drilling activities.
• Prepare drilling mud (e.g. for spudding, routine well drilling, cementing, stuck-pipe removal etc).
• Testing and analysis of mud properties, maintenance of mud flow lines, and mud equipment such as shale shakers, mud cleaners, mud pumps etc.
First degree (Bachelor of Technology degree) in Chemical/Petrochemical Engibeering
West Afrrican Examination Council General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level.
