I'm now a faculty member in the education department after moving from the Foundations dept. I teach years 1, 2 & 3. My specialty are technology courses, but I also teach theory courses & teaching Math & Science courses. I also manage my student's "Teaching Practice" in schools. I once taught a photography course to 3rd year engineering students. I'm active with student life on campus & run a photography club, as well as MC college events. Off campus, I volunteer to give technology workshops to government school teachers.
• Plan & execute iPad implementation strategy
• Author iPad learning materials & develop training tutorials
• Teach Computing, Math & Arabic courses
• Develop learning materials, print & online.
• Develop course curriculums.
• Assist the Department Chair in course allocations & other administrative duties
• Run Professional Development workshops
• Coordinate system wide assessment issues.
• Lead student Photography Club activities.
• Appear on TV interviews & shows to promote college.
• Conduct a needs analysis survey for all partnership schools.
• Develop implementation strategies for all developmental phases of the project.
• Source school needs, place orders and follow up with suppliers.
• Draw-up detailed phase budgets and HR needs.
• Develop a working relationship with the schools principals, the Education Zone and the Ministry of Education.
• Establish contacts with possible sponsors and raise funds for the project.
• Oversee implementation of project phases.
• Maintain project records and documentation.
• Conduct and provide professional development opportunities for project schools.
• Promote the use and application of technology in partnership schools.
• Establish & equip 4 “Smart Classrooms” one in each school.
• Maintain good media coverage for all project activities.
• Maintain content materials database & data entry.
• Support SWC Portal & provide PD for faculty & students.
• Develop & manage online tests.
• Manage the Online Learning Zone (88 PCs).
• Develop, maintain, publish online & print activities
• Assist & support faculty in the development of online courses.
• Facilitate student online learning & provide local & remote assistance.
• Promote the use of Internet resources
• Promote the use & authoring of Computer Assisted Learning software (CAL).
• Conduct professional development workshops for faculty.
• Liaise & coordinate online learning projects with other HCT colleges.
• Assist in developing a college online strategy & instructional design standards.
• Support WebCT users & provide
