REF 29 UoA 11 Lead: Support school members in their research, helping to accelerate
their research impact, and responsible for conducting internal audits of research outputs
to ensure compliance and excellence.
Member of the Academic Board: Contribute to shaping university-level policies and
regulations, ensuring they align with both institutional goals and the needs of our
academic community.
Programme Leader: Programme leader for several undergraduate courses, including
BSc (Hons) Data Scientist (Apprenticeship) programme, BSc (Hons) Applied Business
Computing, and BSc (Hons) Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
Module Leader: lead multiple modules across BSc and MSc programs, covering topics
such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, the Internet of Things (IoT), and
Programming Virtual Networks.
Project Supervision: Primary supervisor for two PhD students and co-supervisor for an
additional two. Over the past two years, I have also supervised approximately 30 MSc
students and numerous BSc students on their final projects.
Student Recruitment: Actively participate in student recruitment initiatives, including
open days and outreach events, to promote our programs and attract prospective
students.
HPC Manager: Responsible for managing the operations of the Faculty HighPerformance Computing (HPC) facility, including task scheduling and resource
allocation. Oversaw the specification, procurement, and deployment of HPC hardware
and software to meet the research and computational needs of the faculty.

I have been teaching in several settings ranging from one-to-one basis to large lectures face to face and online. I am also supervising final year projects and an MSc student from the School of Engineering and Built Environment and the School of Computing.
I am working on several research projects. Most of the projects are on wireless communication technologies and Machine Learning algorithms. I contribute to several outreach activities. For example, I have helped in applicant days and clearing events. Also, I have help in the Scottish mathematics masterclasses, which encourage pupils to study STEM-related topics.

I worked as a post-doctorate researcher on recommending a project for ultrasonic pipes inspection. In this project, I curated the existing literature on machine learning algorithms for non-destructive flaw detection in pipes. Also, I gave recommendations for the most applicable algorithms to implement.

I have been giving lectures, tutorials, and lab demonstrations at the Faculty of Engineering. In some of the courses, I have prepared the material for the lectures and labs. Also, I have marked the coursework and reports.

Postgraduate Courses: Design of Advanced Electronics Systems, Smart Grid and Machines and Drivers Labs.
Postgraduate Projects Supervision: Generalised Proportional Fair Scheduler for LTE-A and Self Organising Networks for LTE-A.
Taught Tutorials: Engineering Mathematics, Op-Amp amplifier, DC and AC circuit analysis and Passive filters.
Lab demonstrations: Introduction to programming with MATLAB, DC circuits, Filter circuits, Data Communications, Introduction to Proteus Software and Digital simulation and Computer Components and Analysis.

I worked on optimising the LTE-A scheduler performance for the 5th generation of wireless communication (5G). In this project, I developed an adaptive algorithm for controlling the network resources and implemented it on an industry compatible simulator to evaluate its performance.
