Overall Purpose: To assist the Head of department (HoD) in leading and managing the department so that it realizes its potential in the delivery of high-quality operational academic activities and contextualized courses, and in its endeavor to enhance the student learning experience.
• Monitor & develop teaching and learning activities
• Oversee student registration, including the unusual custom cases
• Academic Advising coordination and overseeing advisors in the monitoring of weak students
• Organize and disseminate the approved Department operational Timetables
• Oversee all staff assignments and teaching loads
• Organize and coordinate staff peer observations and assist HoD with Peer Observation (Procedures)
• Liaise with staff and the librarian regarding resources for the department, timely delivery of Library books and guidance with book orders
• Liaise with Students Services on student matters
• Coordinate with assessment committee on exam timetable preparation, assigning of invigilation duties, facilities and ensuring proper execution of exams
• Oversee that course coordinators have uploaded their material onto Moodle with updated Course Guide and lecture materials
• Ensure that course files are updated and examination materials and student samples are properly archived
• Assist HoD in addressing academic concerns of students and faculty members
• Delegate tasks where necessary to staff
• Note absence and sick leave of staff
*Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics as per the related discipline.
*Prepare materials for laboratory activities and course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs.
*Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers.
*Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
*Supervise students' laboratory work.
*Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
*Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and
participating in professional conferences.
*Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
*Assist students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class.
*Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs.
*Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.

4- Plan and lead professional development activities for teachers. Collaborate with other colleagues and participate in committees to develop and maintain curriculum standards, and set performance goals and objectives.
5- Collect and analyze survey data to forecast curriculum change needs.
6- Plan and prepare formative assessment of different ICT subject areas.
7- Coordinate to maintain integrity of assessment process
