Main referral on Risk & Credit Policy & subsidiary policy requirements. Creation / revision of all Policies relating to Risk, particularly Credit Risk.

Review credit applications submitted by the relationship officers (RMs) in terms for the following Finance Products: Mortgage Finance, Personal Finance, Credit Cards & Auto Finance and Discuss the credit application with the RM to ensure that the final version to be presented for approval is mutually acceptable.

Use discretionary authority in approval of deviations from product and credit parameters and to act as an “On-line Consultant” to Branches / Direct Sales Force to structure / re-structure the finance.

Review the Target Market & Risk Acceptance Criteria of various businesses and international units to ensure these are in line with the Group’s Risk Strategy and within the defined Risk Appetite.

Aid senior management in providing strategic risk and business direction and aligning Risk Capital to Business Strategy.

Develop & maintain risk framework and policies & procedures which comply with the with the low & regulation of the bank & with the central bank and insure that these polices & procedures are applied consistently throughout the bank.

Ensure development of high quality MIS, creation & implementation, to manage risks as well as monitor analysts’ performance, business flow management, capacity plan, and identify risks and opportunities.

Continuously, receiving the feedback from collection department about the delinquencies performance of the portfolio and the net profit losses (NPLs), then figure out the segments or niche markets that vary from the actual risk plan and give the advises to change & amend the credit criterial according to prevent future focus on that segment.

Responsible for designing, implementing credit processes that are focused on high level of service with a well-balanced view on controls and efficiencies.

Manage the team of Credit Investigators / Supervisors / Evaluators for Credit Evaluation & Credit Investigation functions of Al Hilal Bank including small business finance. Establish a fundamental ground rule for evaluating the Analysts (Key Performance Index)

To develop, simplify, automate, improve and implement process changes, in order to achieve agreed service level agreements and reduce cycle time and cost. Also, Identify process errors and implement fraud and internal control measures.

Identify anomalies / gaps in the credit policy, product manual guidelines and operational processes and to recommend modifications. To work closely with policy managers and make sure that all policy communications are cascaded to the evaluators and implemented as per plan.

Coordination with product management / sales manages and branches for customer retention / acquisition and obtaining buy-ins.

Identify training needs for Team Leaders / Credit Supervisors / Evaluators / Credit Investigators on the basis of feedback and compliance check failures & to make sure staff are well trained in all policies / procedures and are well aware of their job requirements.

Increase the unit productivity and to enhance product and credit policies for all Retail Credit Products.

Identify areas of improvement and implement changes systems, automating risk and credit related processes.

To ensure delivery of Quality service to internal customers, by implementation and adherence to the committed turnaround time standards in the evaluation / approval and investigation process.
