1. Personnel Management:
I am Heading the Engineering department and directing the engineering managers/senior level engineering staff and other engineering staff.
2. Program Management and Engineering Execution:
I am responsible for ensuring that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution. The execution typically involves driving the overall program plan that incorporates all inter-dependencies between functional disciplines (e.g. mechanical, electrical, controls, software), which in turn is a part of a company program plan that incorporates inter-dependencies between departments (e.g. engineering, marketing, business development).
3. Technical Leadership:
I am responsible for co-developing the technical strategy with the CTO, and for developing and maintaining a technical road-map that will continue to innovate from a technical standpoint. I serve as a systems architect and also assign design level tasks to other engineers to assume that role.
4. Strategy Development:
I serve as part of the senior staff, working in an interdisciplinary manner with peers in other departments including Marketing, Business Development, Operations, as well as the CEO, CTO, and COO to develop company strategy and product strategy.

The company is involved in providing communication services to the clients in Iraq.

Key Responsibilities:
• Spearheading communication projects of the company by coordinating laterally between diverse technical teams and vertically across management hierarchy to seamlessly implement project roll outs, management systems and process enhancements.
• Preparing project schedules and plans, assigning requisite resources, monitoring actual project progress against agreed schedules/plans, supporting team members to complete projects within defined time/cost constraints, escalating issues impacting project performance and timetable.
• Effecting updates/ adjustments to project plan through Microsoft Project 2007 program to ensure project continues to meet key deliverables defined at project commencement.
• Providing strategic guidance on procurement matters pertaining to project equipments/ installation materials and negotiating with suppliers to source materials from economically viable sources.
• Maintaining inventory of project materials, auditing usage and accordingly placing orders to assure continual supply with minimal idle stock.
• Ensuring compliance with project requirements and leading on commercial negotiations with contractors and sub-contractors pertaining to installation and cost plans.
• Appointing appropriate vendors, delegating responsibilities among full time, part time and contracted employees, preparing time guidelines/ schedules for various stages of project completion, and executing handover.
• Coordinating with several technical departments such as RF, Transmission, IN, Power, NSS and NOC for resolving day to day technical/ operational problems.
• Monitoring, tracking, reporting project status/ progress to upper management. Recommending processes to improve quality and efficiency of projects.

• Efficiently handled overall activities of telecom base station sites in Najaf and Misan provinces.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conceptualized turnkey communication solutions as per organizational requirements, analyzed associated technical complexities/specifications and managed the execution of site installation activities within the scheduled deadline.
• Oversaw major issues pertaining to installation and testing of microwave links in Najaf and Misan regions for AsiaCell sites as per the established guidelines and contractual obligations. Administered operations and management of the same for efficient performance.
• Designed, created and maintained telecommunications infrastructure across telecom base station sites of the company.
• Devised alternative solutions during network expansion activities phase to continue unhindered operations and reduce downtime.
• Formulated payment strategies, devised payment terms and coordinated with vendors for resolving payment issues to ensure smooth execution of installation activities.

• Administered all tasks associated with installation, configuration and maintenance of several wireless networking (Wi-Fi) systems through application of direct broadcasting and hotspot technique at the transmitting side.

• Successfully installed and configured Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) for Najaf and Qadissya branches. Installed associated infrastructure such as computers, shared printers and servers.
• Installed, configured and maintained Windows 2000 server, XP, Microsoft Office Package, Lotus Notes clients and Domino server, Antivirus programs in line with established guidelines.
• Deputed as a Radio Operator for handling all tasks associated with performing radio checks for company offices in Iraq, Jordan and Turkey through application of VHF and HF systems.
• Monitored vehicle tracking using radio systems and drafted reports highlighting UN cars movement within the assigned region.
• Investigated emerging ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and utilized the potentials of the same to improve WFP operations within Hilla region. Maintained accurate record of IT inventory date network diagrams, in line with WFP standards.
