Project worth is nearly 20 Billion SAR (Initially SAR 17, 531, 826, 267). Value Engineering is the main consideration for design review. Responsibilites include but not limited to Prequalification of sub-contractors for Geotechnical Investigations, for excavations & Backfilling works, for Geo Grid works and for Soil improvement techniques like Dynamic compaction, Rapid Dynamic compaction and Dynamic Replacement etc. etc. Others include Design Review, Review of submittals by Contractors & Sub contractors related to Geotechnical investigations, testing & approvals of different materials for buildings, roads, parking areas etc., Concrete aggregates testing & approvals, Review of different Method statements related to Geotechnical works. Co-ordination / meetings with different disciplines and Contractors.

Preparation of Detailed design, Tender Documents and PC-1 was awarded by Water and Power Development Authority “WAPDA” Pakistan to the JV comprising Mott Macdonald London, COYNE ET BELLIER, ACE (Pvt.) Ltd Pakistan and Mott Macdonald Pakistan.

• Analysis of discontinuity data and preparation of “Rose Diagram” and Stereonet analysis and failures in Rockmass.
• Planning boreholes locations for investigations.
• Finalization of borehole logs data and Water Pressure Tests (WPT) received from site office.

NOTE: Tunnels were designed for above three projects.

5. Lower Bari Doaab Canal Improvement Project (LBDCIP) Balloki: Rehabilitation and improvement of Balloki barrage and Lower Bari Doab Canal, Detailed Design phase was in progress to be followed by Construction phase. It was a JV of NESPAK, ACE, MML & MMP and the client was irrigation Department.

ACE was General Consultants to Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB) Pakistan and reviewed working of different consultants on the following projects at serial number 6 to 10.

6. Shushghai Zhendoli Hydropower Project (26.4 m high with 144 MW potential) in District Chitral.

7. Shogo Sin Hydropower Project (30 m high with 123 MW potential) in District Chitral.

8. Karot Hydropower Project (90 m high with 720 MW potential) at Karot Jehlum River

9. Kalam Asrit Hydropower Project (197 m high) in Swat.

10. Sehra Hydropower Project in Kotli - Punch (23 m high with 130 MW potential).

I Held position of deputy project manager during preparation of bid for contractors for the following dams where WAPDA was client for EPC contract.

• Execution and construction supervision of site activities related to Structures section.
• Checking of steel reinforcement & formwork etc; according to the approved drawings for different components of Barrage like Standard Bays, Under Sluices, Head Regulator, Control building & Fuse Plug having piers, slabs, Bridge deck slabs, Retaining walls, Sumps, Culverts, Cable Trenches, Pulling Pits and Gantry Crane Beams.
• Final checking of pours before its approval for concreting and also to supervise its concrete pouring.
