Major Duties & Responsibilities:
 AIX System Admin:
 Providing overall support and maintenance of operating systems and network
connectivity for all AIX systems.
 Monitoring system performance on a daily basis.
 Conducting routine hardware and software audits of AIX servers for compliance with
established standards, policies, configuration guidelines, and procedures.
 Applying patches to the AIX servers at various TL and Service pack Levels.
 Technical expertise also include administration and maintenance of AIX
Builds using HMC, NIM, mksysb, on pSeries p590, p595, p770 and p780, IBM Blade
Servers p703 and p704.
 IBM Power VM experience including setup and management of VIO Servers and
partitions.
 NIM installation, setting up NIM servers. Define NIM clients on NIM master server,
and define resources.
 Creating and maintaining DLPAR by HMC on the pSeries servers according to the
resources demands from other teams.
 Installing, upgrading, configuring, fail over/fail back testing for HACMP 5.5 and 6.1
 Installing and maintenance of AIX 5.3, 6.1 and 7.1 on pSeries systems through NIM
and through hard drive as well.
 Oracle Solaris 10 System Admin
 Installing, upgrading, patching and configuring Oracle Solaris 10 on Sun Sparc
And intel X86 servers.
 System efficiency and Performance monitoring and tuning.
 Implementing & Managing RAID levels such as: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 using
Solaris Volume Manager.
 Performing backups.
 In addition to other minor experiences and knowledge with the following fields:
 Designing, installing, and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual center,
setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VM
Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup products and other products for
virtualization.
 Installing, Configuring and Administration of VMware VSphere 5.0, ESX 3.5, ESXi
Server, VMware View, VMware vSphere client, Virtual vCenter Server VMware
converter VM Backup products.
 Executing storage provisioning on EMC Symmetrix VMAX Storage arrays by creating
initiator groups, port groups and storage groups.
 Implementing thin provisioning on EMC VMAX by creating thin pools and binding
devices to pools.
 Achieved PCI Certification AIX/Solaris by supervising the systems hardening project
in 2012 and 2013.
 Implemented numerous infrastructural projects:
- Nimaster.
- EMC AVAMAR backup SW.
- Oracle RAC Cluster.
- Tripwire, PAR Manager
- OS upgrade and hardening
