• As Master Trainer of Porgera Joint Venture Training Centre (RTO # NTC178), ensure continuous development and up-skilling of all in-house trainers and instructors for appropriate accreditation and industry currency to facilitate programs in their respective fields/trades for the 3, 500 plus Barrick Porgera workforce.

• Manage and administer Performance Management process (both the online and paper-based) ensuring that it is complied with company-wide, and administer and monitor any ensuing Performance Improvement Plans.

• Coordinate the site-wide identified High Potential Talent Development process in alignment with individual Succession Plans and approved Professional Development Pathways.

• Coordinated, project-managed and completed for roll-out the Online Induction Training Program for the new Porgera Joint Venture in preparation for re-start of mine for re-hires and new hires to complete the induction before traveling onto site for on-boarding and commencement of their work engagements at the mine.

• Coordinated and compiled the Employment and Training Plan (Annexure B) as attachment to the 10 year old MMJV and stakeholders’ Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) being revised

• Led & coordinated the Workforce Training & Development planning and setting systems and processes in place for implementation of recruiting, on-boarding and training “green hires” from local communities and FIFO hires within country for commencement (development & construction) of the new (Newcrest 50% & Harmony 50%) Wafi-Golpu mining project and on-going construction work at HVK Stage 5 at Harmony 100% owned and refinanced Hidden Valley mine.
• Lead Scheduler & Administrator of the My Potentia Psychological Assessment to determine a new candidate’s potential, capability and trainability, especially for new “green hires” from local communities and FIFO hires within country for commencement (development & construction) of the new (Newcrest 50% & Harmony 50%) Wafi-Golpu mining project and on-going development work at the refinanced Harmony 100% owned Hidden Valley mine.

• Submission for the introduction and roll out of the Apprenticeship & Trade Testing Program and the Graduate Development Program at Hidden Valley mine for cost effective in-built sustainability of its technical and professional workforce.

• Guided the compilation of the Morobe Mine’s Three Year Training Plan (2012 - 2014) to the PNG National Training Council, and the Department of Labour & Industrial Relations in 2015.

• As Master Trainer of Morobe Mining Professional Training Centre (RTO # NTC168), ensured development and up-skilling of all in-house trainers and instructors for appropriate accreditation and industry currency to facilitate programs in their respective fields/trades for the 1, 300 plus Hidden Valley workforce.

• In liaison with Corporate L&D in Melbourne, led and set direction for the L&D function for the Newcrest Lihir site. This involved managing the annual budget of approximately AUD$1 million to ensure effective provision of short in-house courses, supervisory courses, and coordination of longer modular block-based certificate programs, and the 2-year Diploma of Management program for Newcrest Lihir Superintendents and Senior Professionals.

• Provided professional advice to senior & line management, and employees on strategic HR and employee learning & development initiatives and opportunities for maximum impact to Newcrest Lihir Operations.

• Liaised with Corporate L&D in Melbourne to source, customise, and coordinate all generic Newcrest-wide Management, Leadership, and professional training and development programs for employees at Lihir Island operations including the Graduate Development, Industrial Traineeships, and Tertiary Scholarship/Sponsorship programs.
