Key Deliverables:
Strategic Support: Designing costing strategies by understanding project and contract requirements to ensure the costs and estimates are in accordance with the contracting strategy. Executing cost management strategies at ground level
Strategies & Policies Alignment: Maintaining continuous alignment of project scope with strategic business objectives, and providing recommendations to modify the project for enhancing effectiveness toward business result or strategic intent
Costs Management Activities: Responsible for engineering cost estimates for the project, and preparing budgetary statement for management review and approval; providing cost, time, and labor estimates for projects; developing and providing cost analysis of expenditures to clients
Budget Preparation: Assisting Project Manager in preparing final budget and expense projection for the entire project. Making sure that expenditures are kept within the project budget by performing project costing related reporting; preparing valuations and developing overall project budgets while keeping ancillary costs low
Project Management: Managing projects with accountability of planning, defining scope, budgeting, setting timelines, analyzing requirements, identifying dependencies and evaluating risks. Advising and executing strategy to resolve project challenges with regards to schedule, quality, and costs
Service Agreements: accountable for preparing service agreements through technical and commercial review of long time tenders (subcontractor’s quotations).
Reporting & Documentation: Maintaining continual communications with all personnel assigned to the project; producing & maintaining project progress report and escalates major issues and change of plans. Using productive reports from the creation of WBS to monitor status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of project
Team Management: Mentoring and training project members to enable them to perform effectively. Creating and sustaining a dynamic environment that fosters development opportunities and motivates high performance amongst team members. Providing cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Defined and obtained information needed for the preparation of costs in coordination with other Project team members such as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
Responsible for preparing monthly progress reports which includes project safety and quality index, project high points, and monthly cash flow status and also generated regular cost reports highlighting forecast overruns and work with project engineers on corrective actions.
Determined and updated current forecast, which is an estimation of the cost remaining work plus all costs committed to date.
Worked proactively with relevant project and discipline engineers to ensure that commitments and costs are controlled. Developed and implemented project control procedures by lesson learnt from previous history.
Prepared project cost reports, value of work done & monthly budget forecasts. Ensuring variations to contract are captured, approved and monitored. Reviewing and acknowledged purchase orders.
Managed all aspects of subcontractors by agreeing with the method of measurement and progress billing called for in the agreement, verification & certify progress billing and preparing payment certificate. Worked out for claims & sub-contract close-out with statement of final account and extended key assistance in claims preparation through preparation and compiling of documents

Supervised and reported on subcontractors’ payments, instructions, contract notifications and variations in order to limit financial exposure and ensured performance of subcontractor's obligation.
Monitored project daily productivity, work progress using Work Order System as well as identified and collated the costs involved to estimate and develop an overall budget for any project.
Prepared the valuations of progress and final payments in connection with any contract or sub-contract
