Promoted to project manager role to own all stages of hardware development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing. Currently working on multiple projects ranging from consumer electronics to food safety devices and energy metering equipment. Key responsibilities are:
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define project scope and deliverables
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Perform daily and weekly team meetings to assign tasks depending on the used methodology
- Act as single point of contact with the client and all stakeholders
- Review product designs and source files (circuit schematics, PCB layout and firmware)
- Follow up on creation and maintenance of fabrication files (Gerbers) and Bill Of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure end-to-end testing and operation
- Provide the stakeholders with weekly status reports
- Identify risks and maintain a risk register throughout the project lifecycle with the help of the project team
- Follow up with multiple contract manufacturers on the execution of PCBA, prototypes manufacturing, and injection mold fabrication schedules and deliverables
- Follow up on product regulatory compliance and certification (CE, FCC, UL, ISED/IC, C-Tick)
- Manage multiple teams of 2 to 5 engineers each; either to develop a new product from scratch, or to release a new version of a certain product
- Understand the team members’ aspirations when it comes to their career growth, and help them set a clear career path and achieve their goals by checking in regularly on progress and making sure their assignments are helping them develop the needed competencies
- Created and took charge of a purchase orders/billing system (using QuickBooks) to manage the expenses of the hardware projects, and succeeded in bringing down the difference between estimates and actual expenses from 15% to zero within 18 months
Assigned as the head of project management office (PMO), as an additional role, with the following responsibilities:
- Liaise with the CEO on a weekly basis to identify the goals of the PMO team and review actions
- Created and took charge of an automated product using MS Power Platform to monitor projects’ performance, quality and compliance, by collecting significant health-related KPIs and generating Power BI reports on a monthly basis; The product now includes data of 56 projects for 20 clients employing almost 300 development engineers
- Planned and executed a hybrid work plan to bring back all local employees to the office on a one day per week basis while making sure teams are grouped adequately
- Maintain the software/hardware development life cycles and project management processes
- Participate in training new project managers through a series of knowledge-sharing sessions
- Participate in hiring/interviewing candidates for open project management positions

- Provided schematics and PCB layout of energy management products, control systems, and food safety related products

- Oversaw a team of 5 engineers to design and produce 2 products in the food safety industry
