Riyadh Metro Project - Elevated Station 1Y1/1Z1 (July 2018 - Present)

 Managing a team of more than 60 technicians and supervisors responsible for installation of all mechanical first fix items, second fix items and equipment.
 Material take off and ordering for all mechanical services
 Manpower distribution and handling as per project milestones
 Follow up for material delivery to maintain work continuity
 Co-ordination of support system design, approval & execution
 Raising RFIs & FCDs to avoid hidden delays and scope clarifications
 Meeting with HSE & QA/QC team to maintain qualitative safe environment

HVAC Design/Material Engineer

Riyadh Metro Project, Line 1, Elevated Stations (December 2016 - Present)
 Participating in weekly engineering meeting with client to discuss all HVAC related issues.
 Responsible for getting approvals for all HVAC related material (first fix and second fix) and equipment (AHUs, Exhaust Fans, VRFs, CRAC units, DX FCUs, Inertial Filters…etc)
 External Static Pressure calculations for AHUs, FCUs, Exhaust fans..etc
 Responsible for selecting all long lead items based on project design requirements.

HVAC Material Engineer:

DQ-MOI Security Forces Project (December 2017 - March 2017)
 Responsible for getting approval for HVAC related material by meeting with consultant to discuss their requirements and coordinating with suppliers to provide the correct material and documentation.

Clemenceau Medical Center Project (July 2017 - November 2017)
 Responsible for getting approval for HVAC related material by meeting with main contractor and consultant to discuss submission schedule and special VIP hospital requirements.

HVAC Design Engineer:

King Saud University Hospital (June 2016 - December 2016)
 Full cooling and heating load calculations for whole project using HAP software for the purpose of selecting and sizing HVAC systems
 Plan and section coordination between different trades and guiding the draftsmen to produce shop drawings based on project specs, design and international standards.
 Chilled water pump sizing (pump head calculation).
 Preparation of ESP calculations for AHUs, FCUs, Exhaust fans using ELITE DUCTSIZER
 Verifying equipment selections are matching with project design requirement.

Al Marai Central Processing Plant ( December 2015 - June 2016)
 Full cooling and heating load calculations for whole project using HAP software for the purpose of selecting and sizing HVAC systems
 Plan and section coordination between different trades and guiding the draftsmen to produce shop drawings based on project specs, design and international standards.
 Chilled water pump sizing (pump head calculation).
 Preparation of ESP calculations for AHUs, FCUs, Exhaust fans using ELITE DUCTSIZER
 Verifying equipment selection are matching with project design requirement.

 Introduction to different types of HVAC equipment, systems, plans and shop drawings.
 HVAC: Full cooling and heating load calculation using HAP software, ESP calculation of exhaust fans, FCUs and AHUs using Elite Software, assigning duct material and insulation to be used for ducts based on application and project specifications. Making sure exhaust louvers are sized properly.
 Plumbing: Chilled water pump and tank sizing. Redesigning of hotel water supply system to ensure pressure and flow requirement are achieved.

 Learned the overview functions of the Operations Department as Design Consultants for local and international projects.
 Learned the basic requirements for HVAC and plumbing calculations.
 Read and understood applicable codes and standards: NFPA 13, UPC 2000, ASHRAE Standard: Ventilation for acceptable indoor quality, ASHRAE: Ventilation for health care facilities.

 Introduced to the industrial domain and how the chain of command works.
 Learned about bolts and screws standards, welding process, bearings and gears standards, materials used in machine parts and production, types of cams used, different types of pistons and hydraulics used, chiller systems and air compressors and finally the electrical part of the industrial domain.
 Participated in working on preventive maintenance schedule by calculating average lifetime of bearings according to load and speed and by checking spare parts needed for a whole machine.
