• Responsible to develop, establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to support the procurement objectives of UAS in the Ground Handling Services arena, including but not limited to Catering Services, Fuel and Anceillary GH Services
• Responsible to supervise autonomously or support the respective Line Manager as required in terms of commercial dispute & procurement initiatives ensuring cost saving programmes in his/her catecory of Spend
• To produce, analyze and provide suppliers performance feedback to Suppliers Performances Development manager highlighting issues and opportunities for cost savings, areas of improvement and best practice
• Responsible for negotiationg, managing, implemeting all agreements (GlobalRegional level /Central level) with Global Ground Handling suppliers, ensuring process improvements and cost savings within the Category of Spend
• Providing/updating all relevant departments with information regarding market dynamics, new T&C or pricing negotiated for approporate/ timely action. Reduction of Cost Of Sales in the assigned category

Part of leadership team in lobbying to change the regulations for handling licences,
especially for Executive/Business Aviation. Have established good relationships with
ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SA and the INAC Portuguese Civil Aviation Authorities.
Groundforce One changed ownership as of 08 September 2008.

Groundforce One started in Faro, February 2006. Ground Handling for Business Aviation and invoicing procedures were established and implemented for Groundforce/SPDH, as this was a very new venture.

Responsible for invoicing / handling procedures at all Portuguese stations. Handling assistance initiated 06 weeks after the project started.

Groundforce One started in Faro, February 2006.
Ground Handling for Business Aviation and invoicing procedures were established and implemented for Groundforce/SPDH, as this was a very new venture.

Handling assistance initiated 06 weeks after the project started.

Managing Monarch Airline’s marketing objectives and publicity for the Portuguese market, during the two-year start-up of their scheduled services, all within an established budget. Managed and coordinated a team who provided diverse services, with diverse schedules whilst maintaining the staff rosters all within legal requirements.
Started in Servisair Portugal as a founding member First position held was that of Assistant Traffic Agent supervising Passenger / Traffic activities In 1987 did a 4 month spell on the ramp supervising the ramp activities. Participated in several station-training visits within Portugal and Spain during their start-up periods. In 1989 promoted to Senior traffic agent and Duty officer. By then already experienced in Airport slots coordination, flight planning, staff roistering, cargo handling/documents preparations, IATA PNL preparations etc In 2000 promoted to Station Manager Servisair Faro, leading a team of 17 people doing supervisory services only From March 2001, Passenger Handling developed in Faro from a team of 06 people and all the services diversified. This team grew to 43. By the time of my departure, my team consisted of 65 people, of which only 26 were on a permanent basis. All remaining members were on temporary contracts, full timers and part-timers.
