• Developed a partnership between US and Afghan hospitals to create Afghanistan’s first modern pathology lab. Identified partners in US and Afghanistan; created plan and developed funding proposal; secured government permissions and USAID funding to purchase equipment and provide training. Result: Led development of a fully functional pathology lab in Jalalabad, with ongoing support for training and telemedical diagnoses coming from the US partner facility, enabling more accurate and timely diagnoses for the eastern region of Afghanistan.
• Organized and facilitated a global investment development conference. Worked together with senior officials from the US Department of State, USAID, US Army, the Governor of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, and local business owners to promote regional business development. Result: Immediate sales at the conference for local businesses exceeded $1m, and strong connections were made for large, continuing orders.
• Created a business assessment curriculum for Afghan professional staff. Developed program and conducted training, coaching, and mentoring for Afghan staff in assessing commercial viability of businesses based on financial modeling, strategic analysis of market and industry at macro and micro levels, as well as partner fit. Result: Improvement in staff ability to assess prospective businesses and increased implementation of successful projects.

• Negotiated an agreement for a $5.5 billion joint venture mixed-use development. Met with multiple major developers and reviewed plans; selected a viable plan and partner; presented plans to senior leadership and received approval to proceed with negotiation; negotiated agreement of joint venture. Result: In exchange for land rights, Tatweer would receive the development expertise of the partner, as well as an injection of $5.5 billion of development capital.
• Project managed government projects worth over $100 billion. Managed relationships of public private joint venture partners; led financial analysis for viability assessment of projects, oversaw program development, and established commercial marketing strategy. Result: Managed master plans and detailed design for over half of the $200 billion project. Launched sales driving revenues of over $80 million for the joint ventures.
• Provided strategic guidance on budget proposal and feasibility study for $8 billion flagship hospitality project. Planned components of project to maximize revenue. Supervised consultants and vetted revenue and cost figures assumed in feasibility model. Ensured alignment of project vision. Result: Achieved a viable model accepted by the Board of Directors (ROI 15 %+); project given green light.
