• Monitoring daily painting activities and verifies compliance to approved sandblasting / painting specifications.
• Conduct visual inspection as per approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Conduct inspection on all Sandblasting/painting equipment and accessories to verify suitably and safe operation.
• Verify materials and workmanship at the sandblasting & painting area.
• Monitoring of all the painting materials stored in Storage room. Each container of painting materials should be specified the shelf life, batch no. and also storage room condition.
• Monitoring of weather/Ambient condition prior and after Sandblasting works. The process of surface preparation and paint application are all influenced by the weather conditions.

• The substrate surface area must be free from oil, grease, dirt, loose paint, loose rust, millscale and other contaminants prior to & after sandblasting.
• Determination of right air pressure of the air compressor prior to Sandblasting works using the Hypodermic needle pressure gauge.
• Determination of air cleanliness of the air compressor prior to Sandblasting works using the blotter test method. Clean and dry compressed air that is free of oil and other contaminations must be used for abrasive blasting.

Clean and dry compressed air that is free of oil and other contaminations must be used for abrasive blasting. • Check abrasives used for blasting as per approved construction procedure material. • Determination of surface profile (anchor pattern) after sandblasting using the press-O- Testex tape film & Surface Profile micrometer gauge. • Check and verify acceptable ambient weather conditions and substrate temperature before and after painting works. • Conduct visual assessment inspection on the Sandblasted surface area prior to painting application. • Witness mixing of the paint. • Determination of Wet Film Thickness (WFT) of on-going painting application to control the proper thickness of the paint applied on the surface. • Determination of Dry film Thickness (DFT) and visual inspection on appearance of the paint applied on the surface as per approved painting specifications. • Determination of surface cleanliness between coats prior to next application of the paint. • Visual inspection of primer, intermediate and Top coat surface condition respectively as per approved painting specification. • Conduct visual assessment inspection for uniformity, color, hiding power and defects of the paints applied on the surface. • Raise Request For Inspection (RFI) to our proponents/ PMT for acceptance as per approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). • Prepare daily record and final acceptance documentations.
