RM Retail or Gulf Greetings General Trading LLC is a retail firm that has the franchise rights of Hallmark for the Middle East with about 30 stores in the region. It is also the owner of The Toy Stores with 14 stores in UAE and 1 store each in Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. My role in the company is divided between Hallmark and The Toy Store.
Hallmark:
• Store visual display and decoration as per Seasons and theme changes.
• Branding and communication in store.
• Working on promotional and sales focused campaigns to boost footfall.
• POS concept design, Production and Procurement to support campaigns.
• Developing communication strategies for Advertising and PR campaigns.
• Working on overall Social Media and online communication strategy.
• Working with suppliers on product launches
• Communicating with Retail, Visual merchandisers and buying teams to implement strategies, display ideas and
campaigns.
The Toy Store:
• Seasonal planning and concept development for 360 degree campaigns focused on boosting sales, supporting
product launches.
• POS concept design, Production and Procurement to support campaigns.
• Branding and Visual display across all store in the ME region. Considering this is a Multi-Brand concept, all
branding suggested by product suppliers were reviewed by me in order to check if they comply with brand retail
standards.
• Working with firms such as Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Universal, Dream Works, Mattel, Hasbro and m
ajor networks on brand presence and impact in-store and online.
• Consolidating and conceptualizing online and social media content to support product launches, events and other
sales focused campaigns.
• Dealing with mall management teams to discuss mall promotions and branding along with sponsorships of mall
events and sales.
• Working on partnerships and collaborations with companies offering support services and activities that complement
the stores offering.
• Planning, preparing and executing in store and outdoor events.
• Planning and directing videos to be produced. Editing videos. • Producing videos in Facebook. Instagram and
YouTube such as: Unboxing videos, Do it yourself (DIY), Producing video in YouTube high lights such as
(Shopathon, Party monster, Comic Con. Dubai Rugby Sevens, In store and etc.)
• Updating social media platforms for both The Toy Store and HallmarkGCC. o Wow weekend. o Store events. o Scheduling and preparing FOC’s each store activities. o Posting Events, Special Offers and New Range. o Producing in-store POS. o Signages (Posters, Artworks and Price Tag) o Presentation and proposal Store Activity Permits o Branding (Side panels, Header, Wall Branding and Floor Stickers)
