As the finance officer, my responsibilities encompass ensuring accurate and timely recording of accruals in collaboration with program and Supply Chain teams, reviewing accruals for completeness and accuracy, and adjusting them as necessary. Additionally, I oversee the review and processing of various payments, including direct, Simplified Acquisition (SA), and Tendering (TA) payments, ensuring their correctness and promptness, while updating payment trackers and assisting in audits as required. Daily tasks involve recording all financial transactions, including vouchers, Journal Entries (JEs), and Cash Receipts (CRs), in the Costpoint system, and coordinating with the cashier to input manual check payments. Furthermore, I meticulously review bank/Hawala letters to verify the accuracy and completeness of information before submission to banks. These duties collectively uphold financial integrity, internal control adherence, and audit readiness.
