Responsible in the Safe operation of the plant.
Coordinates with other departments for operational
concerns and to attainment of the Plant KPI’s
a.) Facilitates the Tool Box meeting attended by
representatives of other departments ( Production,
Laboratory, Process, Maintenance and Support group)
every morning, where all issues handed over by the
outgoing shifts are discussed and the solutions to be
done.
b.) Conducts Level 1 inspection of equipment to identify
potential causes of slowdown or stoppage every shift
based on the identified plant inspection route and
submit report every end of shift to the Maintenance
Planner for proper scheduling of activities.
c.) Execute all Maintenance activities during Opportunity
stops or High Silo levels, Follow the PM schedule done
by the Maintenance planner and Monitor the works
done by the Contractors.
d.) Investigates and troubleshoots process-related
problems and short-term bottlenecks
e.) Conducts cement mill audits every high silo
opportunities with reports done and sent to Production
manager for required action to improve operation and
achieve optimization targets.
f.) Monitor the incoming deliveries of raw materials and
outgoing finish products. Ensure that all haulers comply
with the Lafarge Mobile Equipment Advisory.
Highlights:
1.) Heads the Electrical group of the plant, Operate,
Maintain, and Leads the troubleshooting of the
69KV substation.
2.) Leads the maintenance and overhauling of LV
motors during Opportunity stops or Scheduled
shutdowns.
3.) Create the Lock-out, Tag-out, Try-out (LOTOTO)
procedure applicable in the plant and identify the
LOTOTO grouping per equipment. And Entering
the MCC procedure as required in the Lafarge 10
Life Saving rules.
4.) Headed the Hazard Identification of the plant and
give recommendation on the equipments that
provide risk during operation and maintenance
works.
5.) Heads the Safety Focus Group which analyzes the
submitted Behavioral Safety Audit and Near
misses once every month and provides actions
and recommendations to the Safety Manager.
6.) Assess and monitor the spare parts inventory on
all electrical spare and identify the fast moving
electrical spares
7.) Coaching of all available electrical and operation
personnel in the maintenance, operation and
troubleshooting of substation, transformers, MCC,
pumps and motors as well as in the Proper and
Safe operation of the Plant.
Responsible for the Daily/Shift operation of the Mills
and Packing plant
a.) Holds regular shift handover meeting with the whole
cement line team, supervise and coordinate the operation
of the finish mills, packhouses and overhead cranes.
Discusses must stoppages, repair works, laboratory
instructions and other information to be able to plan and
subscribe appropriate actions.
b.) Attends safety sub-committee meeting, share safety
information and discusses one safety standard or best
practices every meeting.
c.) Coordinate closely with the laboratory department as to
the current quality and quantity of cement stocks in order
to properly schedule the packing and grinding operations
that will ensure availability of cement products required
by our costumer.
d.) Conduct round inspection of all machinery to ensure that
they are properly lubricated, efficient cooling system,
clean and operate at their normal operating condition.
Issue work orders to service personnel in case repair are
needed (immediate or scheduled)
e.) Records abnormal or unusual operation and directs
operators to determine the cause of abnormal operations.
Makes necessary correction or adjustments to normalize
the operation.
f.) Ensures that bag weights are within the limit by
monitoring the actual bag weight test performed by the
loaders and packers.
g.) Ensures that all cement released are properly
documented.
h.) Informs the Cement line manager of any issues/incidents
such as safety or operation related within his area of
responsibilities.
Operates FCB 100tph Horizontal Roller Mill, and
Ballmills, that pulverizes clinker, gypsum, and additives to a
required fineness and dryness. Coordinates with the section
and operating personnel, Performs all activities at mills to the
established procedures and practices.
a.) Reads logbook of outgoing shift to determine operational
condition, defect or repair works to be done on the
grinding mill, weighfeeder - controlled feeders that
automatically weighs, regulates and maintains flow of
materials to grinding mills; Air separators that receives
and classifies ground particles, screw conveyors,
blowers, pneumatic pumps and other accessories.
b.) Directs tender in inspection of oil levels, fittings and other
lubricating points, bearing temperatures, flow of coolants,
positions of tripping relays and interlocks and the general
condition of the mill including declogging of bins, chutes,
feeders, conveyors, pipelines and other points.
c.) Tends the Mills by observing and monitoring its
operation, observing regularly if the PLC displays where
applicable and monitors periodic reading of current,
power and other gauge on control panel.
d.) Stops the mill immediately as needed in such cases of
overheating of bearings, burning of motor coils and clutch
lining or where abnormal operation may lead to
equipment breakdown and inform his supervisor
accordingly.
e.) Adjust weighfeeders settings as specified by the
Laboratory, increases or decreases total feed rate to
attain normal and continuous operation of the mill,
including adjustment of air separator to attain the
required fineness.
f.) Reports/coordinates with superior regarding equipment
performance, malfunction and abnormal operation, and
assist laboratory personnel, process staff, mechanics,
and electricians undertake calibration, maintenance and
repair works.
g.) Prepares operation reports by taking and recording
periodic readings of weighfeeder and other related
parameters that is essential in the normal operation of
the mill.
h.) Computes the total shift production and records operating
time, stoppages, repair and maintenance work
undertaken, abnormalities observed and corresponding
remarks on logbook and logsheet.
Responsible for the Daily/Shift maintenance and
troubleshooting of the integrated cement plant from Crusher
to packing plant.
a.) Analyzes plant instrumentation performance and makes
repair/modification as may be required to improve the
performance of existing controls.
b.) Initiate testing and calibration works on process
instruments, reprogram other electronics as may be
required to modify the existing parameters due to change
in application.
c.) Conducts routine /preventive maintenance on equipment
based on the PM or shutdown schedule.
d.) Conducts ocular inspection and servicing/maintenance
on all instrument installed in the plant based on the
inspection route.
e.) Conducts preventive maintenance work on 115KV
substation during scheduled shutdown and monitor and
maintain the required power supply of the plant.

Responsibilities : Responsible in the monitoring of the installation,
wiring and cable pulling and termination on motors and
substation for the New integrated plant (expansion project)
of the plant.
a.) Checks imported equipment delivered as per packing list
and reports defects, or any abnormalities of electrical and
instrumentation equipment shipped.
b.) Supervises electrical equipment and instrumentation
installation.
c.) Prepares cable schedule and termination details.
d.) Assist commissioning engineer in the testing of
equipment.
Responsible for the continuous production operation.
a.) Handles 75 production personnel (regular & contractual)
from raw material feeding to packing section.
b.) Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment during
operation.
