Acting as focal point for inspection activity and Responsible for all static asset inspection and reliability maintenance
Planning & conducting mechanical integrity and risk based inspection of: o Various fixed/static equipment like Vessels, Columns, storage tanks, Heat Exchangers, Flare stack, HRSG unit, heaters and process Piping’s as per the RBI study report and company standard & specifications; Reporting the inspection findings with repair recommendations through Corrosion & Inspection Management System (CIMS)
Conducting pre-commissioning inspection for the newly installed static equipment
Conducting internal/external coating integrity inspection for pressure vessel, storage tank and process piping
Working on pressure vessel, storage tank and pipeline repair projects including defects evaluation and welding repair methods
Ensuring all welding procedures are being followed, proper welding rods and rod slips being used, all welders on project are qualified for the current PDO/SHELL specification
Reviewing & witnessing the NDT inspection and Maintains inspection data in the computerized system
Pressure relief valves, PVV and BOH inspection, prescribes repairs as needed, and witnesses final calibration.
Worked as a field QC engineer for various major shutdown, turnaround and EPC Projects in India as well as in abroad.
Major responsibilities are;
Preparation of scope of work, Quality control plan, PQR and WPS; Conduct welder qualification test, Material verification, weld consumables control, fabrication/weld quality inspection, NDT, Hydrotest; Attend progress review meeting; Documentation & reporting; final/monthly billing.
Preparation of static equipment for internal visual and other NDT inspection and offer to TPI inspector
Monitor & control Repair and replacement work quality during shutdown and maintenance projects

B.E. IN Mechanical engineering,
